Elite Escape Room — Attraction in Uwchlan Township

First and foremost I do recomend this escape room.

That being said we had a few issues with our escape room experiance. We arrived at 1245 for our 1pm room. Upon arrival the place was overflowing with people in the lobby having what appeared to be a child birthday party. This lead to us not being able to get to the front desk as about a dozen or more people filled the small area. We had to wait for an employee in the hall way. They appeared to be under staffed for a sunday only one employ was there once we arrived.

After checking in with the employ he started setting up the OZ theme room we had booked. While he was away setting up another group entered with 9 people for the same room my 5 person groupe had booked. It ends up the room was double booked due to error.

My group agreeded to do one of the another rooms to fix the situation. A few minutes later another employ showed up and helped everything start running a little smoother.

After about 30 minutes of waiting the magicians room was now ready for us.

The room itself was great it had 2 issues where gimmicks didn't work the way they where suppose to. But those did end up helping us escape in a very nice time. Hints are given though a tv in the room which i found really nice. Other rooms I have done have had a pa system for clues and once I did one that required a person coming in the room itself to give clues. I highly prefer the tv clues as a way to keep the atomospher of the room.

If your in the area I would suggest Bates Rooms as my first pick; but if you already did Bates please try Elite. My issues with my visit are probably not common. This is the second time we did an escape room here. The first time we had such a good time that my daughter wanted to take 6 friends (ages 10-12) for her birthday. Unfortunately, our experience this time was not positive. It started wrong when I mentioned that 2 of the girls had allergies. The host did wipe down the room, but informed me that they usually only so that at the end of the day. With flu season here, that was an immediate turn-off. When instructing the girls about the escape room (we did the Holidaze room), she frequently mentioned that things should not be forced open- as it turns out, many of the boxes could be easily opened without all the clues. Our host came in once to inform the girls that they "broke" a box that she would have to fix. The end was the most upsetting- the girls thought they correctly opened the last clue, to get out of the room with 5 minutes to spare- as they were celebrating, our host decided it was necessary to tell them that they actually broke another thing that she would have to fix, and proceeded to show them how they "should have" found the clues to really win. If your clues are easily bypassed by a bunch of 11 year old girls, I would suggest using sturdier materials. I was in the room with them the entire time, and can assure you that they not being rough. The entire experience made me feel that we were inconveniencing our host- and for $225/hour, that was not what I would have expected. We took my daughter here for her birthday for some family fun. We have never done an escape room before so the owner suggested the Wizard of Oz room. However, that room was already booked on the day we picked. So we ended up in the Aladdin room which he said was very difficult. Not sure what we would of done with out the helpful clues lol but boy, was it fun!!! We had a blast trying to get out of this room... my kids LOVED it (ages: 8, 11, 12, and 13)! And ... we almost got out! Another 15 min and we would of escaped for sure. The room was very challenging and I thought it was very well done. The only reason I took away a star is because of the sand in the room, while it was super cool to be in the sand ... my son tossed some around... and that was it! The entire room was filled with it in the air for the rest of the hour. It made it difficult to breathe and my son left with a headache. If it wasn't for the sand, I would of given our experience 5 stars and we didn't even escape! I definitely recommend Elite...
