Very spacious. Wooden play structure is large. There's an area where it's more catered to toddlers and small children. There's a huge dragon that the kids like to play on as well. By the playground there are a couple of picnic tables and off to the side is a staging area. This area is wheelchair accessible. The landscape is maintained and is perfect for an intimate picnic on the lawn. There's also ample room for small to large gatherings. Alongside the park is a creek walk that leads to the quiet downtown area. There you'll find small businesses and restaurants scattered throughout. I'd also like to mention that before Covid, there were Friday night concerts at the park. Each week had a different genre of music from live bands. Various food trucks littered the park so your entire family can choose whatever suits their palate. The atmosphere was pleasing. Most of those who attended were friendly and easy going. The ambience was relaxing and it was great to watch people enjoy the music, dance and let the kids run around. Unfortunately, I do not have any idea when they'll resume this activity. I suggest if you want to know more about this venue, contact the Vacaville Park and Recreation department. This is just mine and my...

This park was well fenced so my kids could run around without me worrying about them running off or weirdos having access to them. I also didn't see any weirdos around. It was nice middle class families taking their kids to the park.

Down by the bathrooms there were homeless people sitting on the grass with their bikes and belongings, so I was glad no needed to potty. But that building was really quite a distance from the actual playground so it wasn't an immediate concern.

*It doesn't matter if the person has a home or not, anyone lingering around a bathroom is uncomfortable when you're a woman alone taking a child to use the bathroom in a park. It's a vulnerable experience. I know it's city property and you can't say, "hang out anywhere but here" but we also tell women to be aware of their surroundings to keep themselves safe and people sprawling across the lawn directly next to the bathroom is a component to be aware of when taking responsibility to keep oneself safe.

I never felt unsafe at the actual playground. We had a great time and if we're in the area again we'll...

I. Freaking. Love. This. Park.

I feel like I might have to come back and leave a detailed long love letter here for this but I won't. This park is everything you could hope for a park. Lots of space. Lots of grass. Lots of trees. Bathrooms! Huge playground. A dragon! Tons of bike path or roller skate space! Pinic tables, a stage, BBQ pits, a creek. Farmers markets on Saturday early. It's walking distance to the grocery store, downtown vacaville that has cute shops. Good food local, sandwich spot local, mountain Mike's local. There's a liquor store across the street...

The freaking library is so close! There's really just too much going on. If you catch the right day theres usually someone playing music or bumping something. I know I do...

I go here almost every single Saturday and don't leave till almost the end of the day.

Im the mom making friends with all the kids on the playground. I play all the games with them. My son is kinda shy so I always do the hellos! Lol

Did I mention they have baby swings and chair swings!!!??

Best Park in...

Nice spacious park, walking trails, big playground, large grassy areas, picnic tables in several areas, even has bbq grills, it also has seat walls down off the lower main entrance, and many shops and eateries are close by. Big plus, there are bathrooms and when used, they were clean. Parking is usually decent, and located really all around the park. . On Saturdays morning before noon, they have brought back the farmers market, with a few additional vendor spots other than fruits and vegetables. All in all, nice park, have sat many a lunch hour here and enjoyed the sun, the birds, the sounds of kids playing and have had a nice lunches in this park, even with a few of them having showed up in a review of mine here. Nice park to visit in general.

Came out in August 9, 2025 to see the legendary ConFunkShun—and let me tell you, they were pure fire. Funk royalty. No notes. Now, the organizers? Whole different story. We were stuck outside the park for over an hour in 103-degree heat. One hundred and three. That’s not weather, that’s a slow roast. I didn’t know I signed up for a pre-show sauna session with a side of dehydration. No shade, no explanation, just a long line of sweaty, confused fans wondering if the gates were ever going to open or if this was some kind of endurance test. By the time we got in, I was halfway melted and seriously questioning my life choices. Great music, but next time maybe let the band run the logistics too—they clearly know how to keep things tight.
