We get there at 3:30 for an audio tour and the lady said we didn’t have time for an audio tour. Guided tours start at 3:30 which she did not offer. We wanted an audio self guided tour which on the sight did not specify times. The place closes at 5. She then later while we are walking around said the audio is 1.5hr long and they close at 5. (We would have had time) We love history. It would have been nice to have some kind of guided tour as advertised. Disappointed in the management and advertisement for the choice of guided or audio because we didn’t have a choice for either of them for our $20 we paid. We had a 15 min video to...

This theme park has the most information of how the Waldensians lived and were persecuted thanks to folks like Gus Tron to Jim Jacumin. Mr. Jacumin has done many incredible good things for not only the Waldensian Heritage but for everyone to enjoy the State of art built 200 seat Amphitheater, complimentary free parking across from Waldensian Church, buying old Valdese school that town of Valdese said had dangerous asbestos, Mr. Jacumin himself with crew tore down the School leaving old school entry for history and making into beautiful small park. I'm proud to have been friends with Gus Tron and continue to be friends with...

The Trail of Faith tells the true story of a people (the Waldensians-people of the valleys) who were given the word of God and protected it for centuries in the Cottian Alps in Northern Italy. They protected the word when the Catholic Church deemed it illegal for anyone to have it accept the church itself. They gave their very lives to keep it safe. After the persecution ended, their numbers grew and many sought other homes. That is how these Italian people came to be in Valdese NC. The tour is well worth your time. It is awe inspiring. If you live in the area or are just passing through, it...

Interesting story of waldesan people. Plentiful parking and nice museum that serves coffee and hot chocolate while you watch a 15 minute movie to start off. You can take an audio tour for eight or $10. Guided tours are off also available. They have re-created the area in Italy where the people came from. Very well done and interesting if you are interested in their history.

Went for Christmas lighting ceremony. Lights are neat, was lovely to hear children singing Christmas carols and no admission charge on this night. It was too dark on this night to be able to really see the exhibits or read the signs so I may go back one day for the actual tour. Another important part of this area's history preserved.
