Mill Town Social House — Restaurant in Valdese

We came here for the first time after apple picking in Morganton (drove up from Charlotte). From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome. It was about 3pm so we were almost the only ones there. The atmosphere was warm and cozy -- like visiting a friend's house for dinner. The waitress was so pleasant and kind. She even spent time getting coloring pages for our kids who were very particular about what they wanted to color. Adam, who was at the bar, was a great host. He helped us order and made excellent beer recommendations. He also suggested dumplings for the kids which was a huge hit! When it was time to leave he recommended a waterfall park down the road which we visited after and loved it. Overall, they went above and beyond what I expected and we left with much more than filled bellies. (The food was incredible by the way!) Highly recommend. We'll be here again next time...

Mill Town Social House is hands down one of my new favorite spots! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm and inviting—perfect for a casual night out or celebrating something special. The food was absolutely delicious (Kara is phenomenal with dishes they are fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented), and the drinks were just as impressive thanks to Candi! The hubs and I enjoyed a delightful lunch here on Sunday. It's nice to have another restaurant option open on Sun/Mon in town. The hubs ordered the bang bang shrimp. Very tasty. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich on croissant with the potato wedges. (Equally delicious). We appreciated the simplicity, yet sufficiency, of the menu for both beverages and food. Portions were just right. The atmosphere was comfortable. (Not too loud, too cold/hot, or too cramped). The decor was pleasant and not unnecessarily busy. The service was on point and pleasant.
