Very disappointed. Take off work to meet the service man to have my refrigerator fixed he takes a picture of the label inside the door and tells me he can not do anything to fix. Didn't even bring any tools in to try to fix it but charged me $80 dollars to stand there and tell me all about its problems for 15 min . Didn't check nothing. Then tells me to use it for a secondary or give it to goodwill. Can't believe the business tells its customers to give the appliance they cannot fix or don't want to fix someone else so it becomes their problem. But I will say this thank you for letting me know where NOT to buy appliances. This was my first and last experience with Bargain House Appliances. Also to your reply you can write anything down on a piece of paper. If you don't check the control board or inspect the liner how do you know if it's not working as it should. I watched him write that on the ticket and also saw him check nothing. Do you normally replace things that you think might be the problem without checking first? I would have at least thought a technician would inspect the appliance instead of assuming he knows what the problem might be. And as for the $80 goes not a problem. You have a good business going to people's houses and not checking what you write down on paper as the issues and charging them $80. Hello if I didn't really want to work on people's appliances i could make a small fortune doing what you do. If you do that each day 10 times you made $800 for nothing except your gas to and from you customers homes and the techicians pay. You only have one time to make a first impression. Thanks...
Read moreFirst the good: they were very nice on the phone.
Not so good: I called on Oct 10 to have my dryer repaired. They said they needed to order a part (they said it should take 1 or 2 days to get there) and it would probably be 3 or 4 days before they could come out to install it. They gave a price of ~$190. (This occured on Monday, we were talking about possibly having the repair man out on thursday or friday)
I called on thursday, and they said the part was not there yet and they would let me know.
Flash to Nov 10, they leave a voicemail that I amp on the schedule for next week. They then call the day of to say the appointment is canceled due to an issue the repair man had.
Luckily for me I didn't go over a month without a dryer. On Oct 14 I placed an Amazon order for the part I needed. It arrived on Oct 17. I replaced the part and all is fine. It cost me a little over $12.
Surely most of the fault had to do with shipping delays or something of the sort, but some sort of warning that my initial quote of 4 to 5 days without a dryer could turn into over 35 days without one, would have been nice.
Perhaps in the future I will need some repair and I will give them another shot. If so I will...
Read moreThis company was sent by Whirlpool, to examine my 9 month old refrigerator as a second opinion. David arrived about 9 am, as planned by their office between 8 and 12. He looked at the refrigerator, wanted to know what had been done previously. He called Whirlpool but was on a wait to speak to someone. He said he didn't have time to wait but that he would call us back to let us know what he heard from Whirlpool once he was connected. He didn't call back. I tried to call on Sat, about 2 pm, but no answer.
Since this was a SECOND opinion, I thought that he check to see what he thought was the problem. He didn't bother to call to say he wasn't interested in checking or fixing the refrigerator. Not sure I would be interested in buying an appliance from Bargain House Appliance.
What dervice did they perform? Service not listed He didn't...
