Walking along the Vallejo waterfront is hands-down the best way to start the day! We head out just before sun up, so get to catch the incredible NorCal colors that paint the sky, the water, and passing clouds. For the most part, waterfront walkers keep the boardwalk clean - even the dog walkers. COV makes it easy by keeping the 'poop bag' dispensers filled, for the most part. When it's not too cold, I'll use vinyl gloves to pick up after the occasional partiers that come out at night, and the rare fisherman that gets careless. Read moreIt's my favorite place for a walk, and it's just lovely. I go there every day to clear my head (dress warm, always a bit windy). It's on the Napa River and you can easily do 1-6 mile walks with views of Mare Island shipyards, the river, and the clinking of sails and the poppies and wild flowers I planted (if I can keep the marina staff from pulling them out, apparently they don't seem to understand what a protected state flower is). Read moreGreetings; This marina is good. It has services to include a fuel dock. There are some issues with the parking lot, however the city has been doing its best to remedy them. There are lots of slip spaces, however some of the slips are shallow. There is a small store a few blocks away, and one of the best Pizza places in the bay area- Napoli Pizza.
