Summary: The pizza was so salty it left both my mouth and stomach in physical pain. The customer service was unfriendly and didn't seemed like they cared about the customers at all.
I usually don't leave reviews but the level of disappointment me and my family experienced after ordering from here warranted a review. Pizza is one of my favorite foods so naturally I was really excited to try this place especially a local place with raving reviews. Unfortunately, the customer service was subpar at best. There was conflicting information from what was available online to what they could make in the restaurant. But this didn't deter us from from still wanting to try their pizza. When we went to pick up the pizza in the store there were 4 workers and the one who actually asked to help my partner was also the one making the pizzas. When my partner was done paying for the food the woman at the cash register didn't say anything to end the conversation. No offering of cheese and peppers, plates and napkins. No goodbye. Nothing. Even still we were holding out to try one of Vallejo's best pizza spots, after all the pizza looks pretty good. When we finally sat down to try the pizza it ended up being greasy and thin in the middle. The meats (chicken and pepperoni) were way too salty to even tolerate finishing a second slice. The pepperonis tasted hard and like they had been sitting out before getting cooked. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone else. You're better off going to Mountain Mike's off Solano they are extremely nice there and the pizza is...
Read moreI really want to like this place since its been around a while and is close to my house. They are making pizza that the locals want given all the 5 star reviews. Sadly, I am in complete disagreement with the local community. The pizza here is on par with Mr Pizza Man, Chuck-e-cheese, Pizza Hut, etc. Kids may like it but any adult who has had real pizza in NYC or in Itay will be highly disappointed
As a New Jersey transplant I like the east coast vibe of the place. The pizza though is really bad. Gobs of cheese, in a bad way, and crazy thick crust. I've requested thin crust in the past and they do not do it well. Today I foget to request it and will be throwing this pizza in the trash. Some pizza is worth the heart-attack but this place is definitely not it. I guess its California pizza, which is why so many likes. imo CA pizza should not even exist. Get sicilian pizza if you want thicker crust. However, there are places like Fusion in downtown Vallejo that do ok with California style pizza, its just not my thing though.
From this point on I will drive to Fairfield to go to Viccinis when I want real NY pizza, or go to Slice House in WC, or trek to Oakland/SF and go to one of the many good options. The pizza bar has been raised very high in the last five years. Napoli has not kept up and is need of a complete revamp of how it makes pizza if it wants to survive in the...
Read moreVallejo's very best pizza, hands down. No ifs, ands, or buts (but you'll likely get a big butt if you eat here too often, though I wouldn't blame you.)
This pizza joint has been in Vallejo ever since I was on the formula and wayyy before that as well. They've been around since 1956, apparently. That means they were around since Vallejo was in it's heyday. Can you imagine that? VALLEJO in it's heyday? Nonetheless, these guys probably have one of the most longest and reliable reps in Vallejo. That's not without reason either.
They serve up the best pie in town. Ingredients are fresh and they have one of the tastiest doughs I've tasted. This isn't just some commercial Dominos or (even worse) Little Caesars either. They actually put time and love into their pizza-making efforts. The result is pizza that is pretty unforgettable. I usually like pepperoni and mushroom, but I'm always a sucker for a slice of Hawaiian also.
The service? Fast and friendly. Whether it's take-out or dining it, your food always comes out in a very reasonable amount of time. Orders and serving is always done with a smile as well. This makes for an all around awesome dining experience. Can't beat it.
I love Napoli! I'm glad that Vallejo has a joint like this. Old school and not going anywhere...
