Denim & Frills Childrens — Attraction in Vancouver

I’ll be honest, we love this place! We find gently used toys and kids clothes here regularly!

Today while we shopped one of the women from the back area came out and loudly, in an annoyed tone asked her front end staff about if an item had been put out, that apparently went with a set. She then bolted around the toy area clearly perturbed and huffed out loud because of what I assume was her annoyance that there was a puzzle on the ground. She picked it up and then stormed towards me to head to the back again.

This reminded me of the time I brought some items to consign a few months ago and it was around closing for accepting items for the day. The lady (not certain if it’s the same lady or not) announced loudly, “what?! Did everyone decide to wait until the last minute to bring their items?” It was awkward and unnecessary especially since without consigned there is no store. Having small kids makes it difficult to come in in the first place.

I know everyone has their moments but the management here should really consider how unprofessional and uncomfortable it is to act like a dramatic child when there is a mild inconvenience.

Anyways, just wanted to leave some feedback as an avid customer...

Five stars. I will head nod to the slightly inconsistent prices and some staff are better than others although I’ve never had a “bad” experience. Ive seen the same toy have quite different pricing. They cater to the clients they want and whoever is doing intake will always have a different personal approach. Still gets 5 stars from me. I can find used toys, helps the earth, and I’m glad items are either nice enough I want them, or are exciting and cheap enough my kids want them. Clothes are same story. I’ve bought Christmas presents here, birthday presents here, and old my little ponies covered in marks. There are brand name winter coats and there are old fleece pajamas. I typically don’t buy the old fleece pajamas but I have bought beloved marked up my little ponies that my daughter picked up when she came into the store to pick out a toy herself. My 4 year old daughter wanted to buy a toy with her chore money, but she didn't have a lot to spend. We headed to Denim and Frills to stretch her money. She found exactly what she was looking for and in her price range. We were disappointed when we got home to find a vital piece missing. I reached out in hopes that perhaps they would be able to check with the consignor. I was called back less than 24 hours later and the piece was found. We were able to pick it up. I totally understand their desire to not have kids play with the toys that are for sale, that's how our piece went missing in the first place.
