The cookies may be delicious, but they are overpriced.
Some will read this and think "it's only $2". But, the moral of the story is when did this become okay with us? When did we decide, "Right is wrong and wrong is okay"?
I advise you be careful using the APP, it defaults to a $2 tip....theoretically it can be changed to $0, but I changed it and the APP refreshed and reset...so, I was charged $2. But, who pays a tip to a low service, basically fast food operation?! Seriously, we're not talking a full service operation. Put the cookie in the box, hand it to the paying customer. Tipping comes after a service has been provided and done well and correctly.....to the customer's satisfaction. To pre-pay a tip makes no sense to me. Especially since my order was missing 2 items (which I pointed out to the employee and she corrected).
I can understand an error. I called the store expecting an easy resolution and maybe even a "thank you" for making the business aware of the issues with their APP. Nope.
Trying to get a refund for the overcharge became a big production. The store manager has not been empowered to make any corrections and customer service sills haven't been taught during training.
In the scheme of things $2 is not much. But, if the APP is collecting a bonus of $2 from every order, then either it's intentional or it's unintentional. If it's truly unintentional, then it should be corrected.
It took 3 weeks before they refunded the $2, after several calls and emails on my part. The resolution came from an area supervisor after I emailed him.
No one at Crumbl company seemed to be interested in addressing this issue, no offer was made to research and correct the APP. Oh, and no one apologized for my inconvenience.
A happy, satisfied customer will most likely refer their friends to a business with great product and service. An unhappy customer will make sure everyone knows of...
Read moreStaff was friendly, but not like my first experience at Crumbl; and they weren't as busy today as they were on my last visit. I asked for a receipt (after the fact for the gift card) since I'd purchased a gift card for a graduation gift and thought it would be good to have the receipt in the event the card didn't work the recipient would have the transaction info. The receipt I received has little to no information on it other than the amount I had loaded on the card and the dollar tip (for loading a gift card), so I'm not sure how it could this be used to ensure that the card is valid since it has no sku or code on it to match the gift card number? I also asked another employee for a flat card holder/envelope vs the gift box card holder and explained I would be mailing it (so the mini gift box wasn't ideal) ~ she told me they didn't have any; later I came back and asked ANOTHER employee... she went right to them and got one for me from under-the-counter! Why does one employee know that you have them and the other didn't? Clearly the one that didn't could have asked but appeared "too busy" to put out a little effort to ask sometime else. I want to be clear that the person I'm referencing was not the person who took my order and also not the person who ultimately helped me get the card holder. Overall, I felt like a number on this particular visit. Slow down~it's not a race, there wasn't a line out the door (like my last visit). Make every customer feel like their business is valued, pit out a good product and the flocks...
