Splash Sun Fun — Attraction in Venice

ZERO STARS — HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NOT AN OUNCE OF BRAINS TO THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!! EXTREMELY RUDE STAFF; not to mention that they are RIP OFF SCAM ARTISTS! When you walk in the door you don’t even get a “hello”, “welcome”, . nothing! And at one point I asked if they knew the time and I was just told “no “! What happened to common courtesy? The 2 girls working were the most lazy rude people I’ve ever encountered! I spent $160 bucks and literally right after checking out I saw a shirt as I was walking out the door that was exactly what I was looking for (never mind I had asked both girls who were working there for assistance finding a similar shirt and their answer was just “no we don’t have anything like that ) so when I went to the counter, I explained I wanted to simply return one item for another item which meant they would’ve owed me eight dollars and I was told there were no refunds. I could understand if I had come back on a separate day and it was a bathing suit or something, but this was a T-shirt for another T-shirt, and I literally had never even left the store! I would never go back to the store ever again their stuff is extremely overpriced and they don’t have a big selection on sizes anyway! The staff is extremely rude and not helpful! This is the epitome of our workforce today. Nobody can think outside the box and say hey OK this is our policy but look at the situation and go ask Manager if they would be allowed to make an exception to the no refund policy I mean come on this was a T-shirt not a bathing suit, and I had not even left the store and...

I don't normally post negative reviews, but I feel I need to after my last visit. I went in with my dad and my 2 kids. One is very logical and wondered why the flashlight they found wasn't working and opened it to see if it needed new batteries. Was immediately yelled at by the owner. He's a toddler... My other kid was playing with a toy and bounced it on the ground. It barely bounced and slightly touched a sunglasses display. The owner came around from the counter very hostile and rude yelling at my kid and I. Told me he wasn't insured for wild children. He wasn't wild at all! I went in to find a shirt for my best friend to bring back from my vacation. Venice is my hometown and I've always liked Splash. I wish I hadn't even spent any money there. I definitely won't be setting foot in there again from now on. It's not hard to be nice, especially to customers who kids love that place. You shouldn't be in customer service if you don't have a tolerance for children. Or sell a ton of toys and not expect kids to want to play with...

Disappointing Experience Despite Being a Frequent Visitor

We’ve visited this shop many times while vacationing in Venice and have always found it charming—though admittedly, the prices are on the higher side. Unfortunately, our most recent visit really changed our impression.

While checking out today, we decided to swap one item for another after the cashier had scanned it. We hadn’t paid yet, but she immediately said they “don’t do refunds,” which didn’t make sense since no transaction had even been completed. She then told us she’d have to cancel the entire purchase and re-ring everything, but her attitude was incredibly rude throughout the interaction. She slammed items back into the bag and made us feel like we were a burden, even though the store was completely empty.

It was an unnecessarily uncomfortable experience and left a sour taste after years of shopping here. We understand policies, but customer service matters too—and...
