Action Park — Attraction in Vernon Township

Unforgettable memories and one wild adventure! I celebrated my birthday here in September 1995, and let’s just say it was a trip to remember, especially since I left with a broken leg. The casual Alpine Slide turned into an extreme sport when my leg became the brakes, but on the bright side, the EMS was top-notch, with multiple ambulances lined up outside standing by.

The real highlight? Racing down the river at full speed, crashing into the rocks, and, if you survived that, bracing for the grand finale, a split into water tube tunnels that ended with a casual 50-foot drop into a 3-foot-deep pool. A truly epic time, made even better by the fact that social media didn’t exist back then. When I first visited Action Park as a summer camp counselor back in the early 90s, it was the most amazing place I'd ever been to. I later got a job there, which was an even wilder ride. Some of the footage from the recent HBO documentary was from my old VHS-C tapes. Was it unnecessarily dangerous? Probably! But I think I prefer that over the sanitized experience that remains today. I took a walk around Mountain Creek (as it is now called) earlier this year and although I'm sure the kids can have a good time, I doubt they will ever consider it as legendary as it was in those early days. It's a tragedy that some people lost their lives here, with many more getting a whole gamut of injuries, but is life without risk and danger really a full life? I'd do it all again in...

This place is creepy like why did they have to make it like this? Please? This is really really scary. There’s a slide that has a loop slide and a kid breaks their teeth like what’s wrong with you how will that happen to a kid? And there’s a cliff that shop down on it are you out of your mind? Are you trying to kill us this is really inappropriate for kids under the age of 10 so please don’t go here If I went here, I would just sue I am never going here unless on a family...
