Fantastic place and staff! Thoroughly professional. Efficient yet caring, respectful, friendly, help clients throughout process of each test with step-by-step explanations of what will be happening, clear delivery of instructions during the test.
Have had five tests there within the last year (perhaps even six but Iāve lost track; quite intensive health year!) and one at the Sparta ImageCare, also within the last year. Liked the Vernon ImageCare more. The staff was equally as nice at the Sparta location, but a little snag happened at Sparta. Iād made my appt. for the 1st time slot of the day so as to be the first patient for Covid-avoidance reasons, and I was there and acknowledged by that time, having driven 40 minutes to be there at that hour). However, they forgot about me after that and took other people back for their testing while I sat. I approached the staff and shared that I was unfortunately going to need to return home and would call to reschedule to try again to be the first patient tested of the day. One of the staff accused me (politely) of having arrived ālateā. In fact, I showed up the 15 mins. early, but the sign at the fork in the parking lot to go to either the front or the back of the building directed me to the back of the building where I did go and park. None of the business signs on the back of the building said ImageCare or the back door was locked, I canāt remember which, so I spent the next 12 minutes calling the ImageCare phone number, which isnāt a location-based number but rather a central number to handle all phone calls for all ImageCare locations. I feared I may be somehow in the wrong place. The line was constantly busy. Finally, I reached them, they told me to drive around to the front of the building and enter that way. I easily found the testing center with these directions, which were contrary to the signage at the fork in the driveway. I was relieved to still have made it into the ImageCare by my testing time. I was already in their computers with all my info and health history, since the computers are linked among the various locations. I should have been able to be the first person seen.
My mother died a horrid, gut-wrenching death of Covid and it is just hard for me to deal with this disease, consequently. I go out of my way to try to be the first patient of the day anytime I need testing or to see a physician so I donāt needlessly expose myself, especially since this county has many residents who believe conspiracy theories and refused to ever mask or get the vaccines and boosters. I have risk factors for both severe and long Covid, in addition to the memory of my motherās desperate gasps for air as she died.
When I returned for the MRI the 2nd time, I found the staff to be amazing and wonderful and I was very happy with how everything went. So the first time was just a little mistake. They forgot I was there and that I had come at that time of day expressly to be the first pt. Had I not been concerned with this, I would have been OK with being made to wait for a brief time for my test.
The Vernon location has always taken me at my appointed time and I appreciate this. Both staffs are very friendly and highly supportive during the testing...

Unfortunately when the nurse brought me to the back the technician was not wearing a mask and did not put one on until we asked her to. During the ultrasound the technician barely said a word until my sister asked if she could see if I was pregnant or see a heartbeat and the technician said she wasn't finished yet. The technician did not show me the screen at all and did not walk me through what she was doing. The whole experience felt very impersonal and I was scared the whole time that something was wrong because of the way the technician was acting. After I was able to go and empty my bladder I came back to find the technician had set her used gloves on the table, which I had to sit next to. In the end the technician could not give me a print out of the imaging and said I could take a picture of the screen instead but she could not pull it back up on the screen for me to take a picture of either. please avoid this image care location at all costs if you are a newly...

Having been to other ImageCare locations, though, I will say that the Vernon location seemed kind of rundown, and exceptionally small, not allowing much privacy for patients who might have to take off some clothes and don hospital gowns. There are changing rooms, but to get to whatever imaging room you might need, you're left to just walk from room to room in plain view of other patients. The waiting area was really, really tiny, too. Just like seven seats in there. Ceiling tiles were stained and gross. The whole place felt dirty and tired. Corporate needs to give these kind, hardworking employees a fresh, bigger space.
