Vestavia Hills Sibyl Temple — Attraction in Vestavia Hills

I decided to stop to take a look and I have driven by this place many times. It has a few picnic tables, a small bathroom, and benches to sit on. The only downside is that it's by the highway so you hear cars driving by. Also, if you decide to stop for a picnic with kids, keep an eye on them as they could easily walk onto the highway. The flowers and trees were pretty and the view from the top of the stairs is very lovely. There are some placards to read up on the history of the Temple of Sibyl and on Vestavia Hills. The Vestavia Hills have a few cool places. This is definitely one of them! There's also the Vulcan. But hey, we're talking about the Temple of Sibyl. This is very easy to get to. Just Google Map it. You can hardly miss it. A good time to go here would be evening (to catch the sunset) or early morning - When the shadows are long and there's alot of sunlight. Visited for the first time today, the temple is beautiful however landscaping going up to and around the temple was not attractive at all. Leftover trash was scattered over the grounds and several lights on the temple were out. Would also be nice if a path to accommodate the handicapped was available, way too many streps, and needs...
