Japanese Garden — Attraction in Veterans Administration

the Japanese gardens at the VA west la is fantastic. they have recently done A lot of work cleaning up the surrounding area. adding new benches an tables. pruning and trimming all of the trees and thousands of plants. the fish pond is cleaner than ever too all of the turtles seem to be out more enjoying sun on their little rock island in the center of the lowest level of the pond. and the koi fish look vibrant too. the BBQ area and the extra large outdoor stainless steel sinks are all very clean and look new too. and they have planted new vegetables in the garden next to the Japanese gardens in the area around the parking lot too. it's looking great at the VA west la Japanese gardens. wonderful place to have a picnic and...

None of these pictures project what it's really like there. They don't show where the Veterans live. This is the Los Angeles, Veterans Hospital and they provide a wonderful living environment for disabled and homeless Veterans. Each individual has their own actual apartment. It's wonderful the way they home transformed the old buildings into livable units for our families and friends who have served our country. I recently had a moment of clarity and good fortune after making the detour up the other side of this VA campus and into the secret little sanctuary in the the top of the hill.

For years I would always find myself retreating here in a walk in between appointments to find a little reason in my being.

The answers don't ever come Easy but the hard thought in trying to get them to bust out on me never fails in challenging who I am and testing me...
