Clark Street Bakery — Restaurant in Los Angeles

We ordered a plain croissant, chocolate croissant, hot chocolate, and macchiato café.

The pastries (food) were A1! Moist, delectable, and fresh (1/5)! The location is exceptionally placed in the center of Brentwood which made it incredibly accessible from places like UCLA, Santa Monica etc. (2/5). Also, the atmosphere was fantastic! The aroma of the fresh bread is absolutely mouthwatering (3/5). However, the beverage, and hospitality were not great at all. As it was our first time, I would have appreciated more guidance of the menu from the person helping us (0/5). And, for the beverage... the macchiato was more of an espresso shot. there was no steamed milk in the drink as you one might expect from a Macchiato Café. As for the hot chocolate... it consisted of milk foam, water, and some god awful cocoa powder. It tasted like absolutely nothing (0/5).

If you want your breakfast to taste good, don't think about it, just go here. Order earlier rather than later though, this place gets BUSY (for a good reason obviously)

EDIT: sadly have to edit this review with a WARNING: If you do visit this place and "Shawn" is the manager for the day, please be advised that he will NOT help you and will instead be rude and dismissive...i order from this place about twice a week, but when the mobile app had an issue and wouldnt let me order cream cheese on a bagel, Shawn repeatedly refused to simply add the 5 cents of cream cheese on the bagel. decided to just tell me it just wasnt happening, and even refused to take payment over the phone to pay for the cream cheese.

it was the type of terrible customer experience that sadly makes me think twice of ordering...

I was looking for a local coffee shop halfway between the Palisades and BH and Clark Street popped up. What a little gem. Tucked into a small shopping center with plenty of metered parking in front, was this gem of a local spot that not only had great coffee but the most drool-worthy selection of fresh-baked goods. It was a beautiful day so my friend and I sat outside at one of the few tables and enjoyed a beautiful catch-up after not seeing each other for eight years. So happy to know about Clark Street.
