Laurent Street Antique Mall — Attraction in Victoria

Awful. The owner and wife are fine, but whoever owns the jewelry part in the middle stopped a sale right as we're about to pay for an item. She took us on this long, drawn-out crusade to "prove" her cameo is legitimate uranium, which I still doubt the legitimacy of. And when we were ready to just buy it, she said no. Like what was the point of trying to prove it to us if you're not gonna sell it? I hope no one looking for uranium jewelry or jewelry in general ever comes and buys from her. I feel bad for the owners getting this review, but she's allowed to sell here and be rude to customers and hurt my wife's feelings by cutting off the sale when my wife LOVES cameos. Oh well, I definitely won't...

The man running the store was expctionally friendly. But the woman up front was so incredibly rude. Showed me a "uranium cameo". My husband and I were debating on weather or not it was uranium and just wanting to see it under black light. While proving it she continued to say, " if you don't buy it I will raise the price, I didn't realize I had it so low". Once we agreed to buy it she says no. Wow wow wow!!!!! Wonderful antique mall! We came to Victoria on a day trip and this was our first stop. We spent nearly two hours walking around this gem! This store is packed full of antiques both big and small. The prices are amazing. If you are looking for antique furniture, this is the place to go!
