I read the reviews here and while I think that everyones comment is probably honest for me if you're rude to your customers ,all your knowledge about wine is just BS .I had not gone to this store for years and years ,the previous owner was kind, knowledgeable and certainly an adult. After 35 years of wine making I'm now experiencing my first 'stuck fermentation'.So I spoke to Kyle (my old wine making friends had names like Vito,Carlo,Nick and Gennaro) ,so I was questioning the difference between Pasteur Champagne and Pasteur Blanc..I'm trying to do a restart ,so I wanted to be sure .Kyle became immediately defensive while I was doubting the two differently named strains not being one and the same(they are ,now I know)I also asked about the Alcohol tolerance and Kyle ,aka the Gods given gift to the home brewer crowds quickly replied 20%(it is actually 13-15 %)..I knew that he was wrong .In fact he should probably have suggested a Premier Cuvee or a Lalvin 1118(at 18%)You see I started the OG at an unusually high 1,120 ! I'm now stuck at 1,013 (14%) -for seven days-The target .990 FG would have given a 17% alcohol , sure very high but dry.I'm not leaving it at 1,013 because the wine is really too sweet and "muddy" for my taste. I'm certain the ferment stopped because of the very high sugar OG, With these grapes I usually get around 1,110 /1,105 ..So Mr. Kyle you mist all this educational recite and for what?Peraphs my accented English turned you off?You sounded somehow agitated and were staring at me in a 'funny' menacing way,so I thought I had better pay and leave the store asap PS for your info my home made racking pump assy was featured (1988) in a wine making magazine and my Zinf has once won second place in an amateur contest in California(1994).That's all ,I have ordered the Lalvin 1118 on line,I'll wait few more days to do a restart, all the unpleasantness for nothing,it should not have gone this way.My God if not for the experience, people should at least respect the (much older) age of others. TO CLARIFY: I don't know if the person in question was Kyle the owner or a...

i've been purchasing empty bottles of wine from this place, don't remember for how long, but it's been long. Last week i purchased two cases of empty bottles and I made sure tell the owner.Don't like cases bottles with the screw up cap.Because it's not worth it.Just use the cork bottle and he gave me two cases and did not check them Three days ago I start bought on some of my wine, and I saw one case had screw cap.And I did not purchase with a screw cap.So I say I'll return them back to the store. The exchange with the different bottles, today, wednesday, september tenth I come back to return the bottles and the.Reaction from the store's owner. No, no, no way these bottles came from the store my bottles are different, and i've been purchasing from this place for as long as I know years. He insists you are not my battle. He even took a picture.I goes, I don't know you may hit my have mixed bottles it's said it's only twenty one dollar to argue with your customer that comes in every year that he can purchase online. But he preferred to come on your store and you get treated like a thief or you return an empty bottles from somewhere else.I did not like the reaction of the owner.I will not recommend this place anymore to all my italians friends to know what kind of place they are buying from the owner. I try to be reasonable with him. I told him I purchased it here, and he knew he remembered me. But he says not my bottles. I know my business and I know what I purchased my bottles from him. He offered me new bottles, but I say no, thank you. I never need your pity. You just lost the customer for only 21 bucks and you may lose many more customers that I have recommended to come. This place good luck.. Hope you'll change your attitude next time with other people. When they return so that...

I was coming from a far away to the store on Monday September 30 and I called ahead knowing that I may be 5 minutes late to ask if someone could wait for me. I arrived exactly at the time the store was closing (6pm) and the person working at the store (I think his name was Chris) was already by his car. I asked if I could still purchase few items ( I knew exactly what I needed as I already bought the same items a week ago, so I knew it would be a very fast transaction). He agreed and re-opened the store for me but was very rude and visibly upset that I was bothering him. He ended up double charging me for the most expansive item and if I didn't know from the previous week how much I should pay I would ended up paying $80 more. I corrected him and he blamed the mistake on me as he said he was rushing because it was already late. Being a business owner myself, I kindly suggested that he should treat his customers a little nicer and with respect. At this point he became more upset and started yelling at me using vulgar language. Very unprofessional behavior. The entire transaction took less than 6 minutes as I left the store exactly at 6:06 pm. I would not recommend his...
