There are so many layers to this review, so please bear with me. I was the DJ for a fundraiser at this venue. I haven't had a chance to be here before. And let me just tell you, I was incredibly impressed. Talk about a unique and amazingly different concept in entertainment and dining. Seriously, a food truck, a separate building that has ice cream, a separate building that is a bar all sitting on a property that has a ton of outdoor seating. And so much attention has been taken into detail for the entire place. I donated my services for this fundraiser for children with autism and I was so proud to find out that the owner donated the venue for this event. No I have known the owner since first grade. His family has such an amazing family and instilled such values in him that he is such a charitable and kind person. We haven't always been in touch over the years but he has never ceased to amaze me with his big heart his love for community and his entrepreneurial spirit. What he has done in creating this amazing space for people to kick back outside and enjoy some amazing food some libations for the adults and ice cream for adults and kids alike has created something very special. You will never find anything like this anywhere. And if you are in the area, you definitely want to take the time to check it out.

We had our engagement party at FUEL, and we couldn’t have made a better venue choice. From the kind and attentive staff, to the delicious food and drinks, everything was perfect. Karen, the co-owner of the establishment, was extremely communicative during the party planning stage, and went above and beyond the day of to make sure our needs were met and exceeded. The venue was set up perfectly, and our vision came to life! We had family attend from Florida, and it was their first time trying cheese curds and Italian beef! They were blown away by the food, and went up for seconds and thirds. One of our guests shared that she usually doesn’t order a drink more than once, but the Basil Vodka Lemonade was a hit and she went back to the bar for another glass! The staff were incredible, Margaret checked on us frequently and Jack was super attentive. Sergio is a brilliant chef, and graciously accommodated our request for two individual veggie burgers on top of our four main platters for 60 people! We are so grateful to the team at FUEL and Creme for their 5-star service. Other venues should look to them as a model for fantastic customer service and hospitality. Thank you for making our special day perfect!

Awesome to take a load off here after a long walk on the nearby Prairie Path trail. The staff were enthusiastic, friendly and especially patient to the demanding and high maintenance parents and children on a busy Sunday afternoon. They definitely cater to the local demographic, with a decent kiddie menu. That’s great, (no judgement!) but heads up if you don’t love bar experiences with little ones running around. Maybe better to revisit later in the evening in that case. The bartender was accommodating and gave great recommendations as well as a nice backstory about the chef; apparently she won Top Chef Mexico (which I couldn’t manage to fact check). Apropos of the restaurant name, the flavors and complexities of the cocktails and food reflected Pan-American food so well. The atmosphere was open and airy and definitely fulfilled a need for more alfresco dining in VP. Hopeful this spot does well, especially since the trail is so close and could bring in some good traffic. Would love to see a “tribute” cocktail to the local path and its Midwest history! Can’t wait to go back to try the gelato!! *They also have their own line of liquors soon to be offered at Binny’s!

I rarely do reviews because usually the places are amazing and I tip amazingly. I wish I could do a half of start to no star as from the beginning walking to the restaurant we go ask to be seated and the waiter asks what we want, food, drinks, or ice cream? I told him all of them and that we would just like to be seated. He says sit wherever and walks away. We sit down and wait ten minutes no one’s comes by so I waved a little and usually do not like doing that as it can seem rude and a waiter comes by and says what do you need? I told him we have not been helped yet and he say he will be back shortly. Another ten minutes go by and another waiter comes by and he asks what we need I said can we get our orders in please as we have not been helped for the past 20 minutes. We order drinks and my friend and I wanted to do two separate checks. He asks for my credit card but not my friends. We wait another 20 minutes. Food comes out from the food truck and it is cold. As we are eating the waiters are standing near by just watching us eat. I just feel it was inconsiderate to watch us the whole time as we ate. We finish and I cleaned up our table and we waited another 20 minutes and the waiters were no where to be found. I saw them give another check to another guest but not once came over to help us. We end up going in and seeing where they were. The waiter asks what I need again and i said i would like my receipt and he says alright give me one minute and goes and helps another guest with a drink. He comes back after 5 more minutes and says what’s the name Lopez? As he goes into the jar and grabs the only card in the jar. I said yes Lopez and asked again why he needed my card when it was the only card in the jar when there were around 15 other guest and not one card was in there but mine. I am usually very respectful but I felt discriminated against as the service was rude and no apologies for why he only needed my card and the wait was very long. I usually tip but did not feel respected so we left in peace. Will not be coming back here. Good luck to those who sees...

Review for Tribute:

-Really wanted to like this place because we enjoyed Fuel.

Cons: -Very limited menu, both food and beer options. -Thought it was odd that out of the 3 beers, (one being out of stock), one of the two options was Guinness. -Large section of the menu focused on Mocktails. I think having a few is fine, but when the menu is so limited in other areas, unsure the reasoning for this. -Plating was odd and not well thought out for the size of the burger. -We went on a Saturday night and it was not crowded at all. We ended up having a rotation of 3 different servers, (2 female 1 male), I think they were just bored. -Nothing really inventive or unique about any of the items that would provide incentive to come back.

Pros: -Food was overall very good. Cheese Curds, Poutine, and Smashburger were all cooked well and tasty. -Beautiful fire tables and several of them for an intimate setting. -Service was attentive and friendly. -Very manicured area and great location next to the Prairie Path -Tons of seating

Overall, may come back for one of the cocktails but unfortunately there is nothing that is truly differentiating themselves from other restaurant(s) in the area. If they do not adjust their menu, or fine tune something to gather locals in, I do not see Tribute lasting more than a year. I hope this is obviously not the case, because we do love supporting...
