El Barrio III Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Villa Park

Extremely disappointed. We’ve tried this restaurant a few times and they screw up the order every time. The first time they offered me 15% off my next order. This time around, the woman was able to credit some of the missing items such as the shrimp on the streak entree that was missing. But they are not accommodating to the other items that were messed up. I also called on a night they offer $1 tacos and it was the first thing mentioned when I called but they did not make or charge me for the dollar tacos. Not sure where the disconnect is there but they need to work on that! They overcharged me for a quesadilla and I mentioned they should update their website then. Lastly, they said it would take 10 minutes, which seems pretty quick. But really the food took 40+ minutes. We will definitely not be returning to this restaurant. There are a ton of places in the area to get tacos, so they should really step...

Mondays and Tuesdays are $1 tacos, but smaller than normal, but they are $1 , their other locations do $2.. villa park does $1.. I get it every week, and every time it’s hot fresh and tastes amazing ! Staff is always friendly , service is fast. I call and order as I’m getting in the car , by the the time I drive the 2 miles it’s almost ready.. I have ordered on other days and the food quality is always consistent and delicious. Pricing maybe be a tad higher, but then again everything now a days is high. The hot sauce … is Hot and has great flavor. I’ve never dined in, but the the place is always nice and clean and appears comfortable. They do have alcohol, I don’t drink so I can’t comment on that. It’s definitely my weekly go to spot at the start of my week.. and I eat Mexican...

I am not sure where the five stars are coming from? This place is no better then Montecasino that it replaced. The service is terrible we were in there for two hours! The place was not crowded at all but the service was unbearably slow. When we were seated it was 10 minutes before they took our drink order. Then another 30 minutes before we could order food. Then 30 minutes for the food that came out piece meal one by one. During this whole time the waitress never came back to check on us for more drinks or fill back up our nachos. Then the worst part is after finishing out meals they never even came back to give our check. We had to wait 30 minutes before we had to flag her down.
