I brought my car to Audio One for a stereo diagnostic. I gave them detailed information multiple times about the issue, the model of the radio, and how I installed it. They told me they might not be able to fix it, but could at least diagnose the problem—fair enough.
Once they had the car, I got a few calls where they asked me the same questions I’d already answered more than once and then tried to quadruple the price fix the issues that I explained to them in great detail. They seemed unsure and couldn’t clearly explain what the problem was. When I asked what exactly they did to diagnose it, the answer was vague at best. Eventually, they said the steering wheel control unit was working but the radio wasn’t receiving the signal. When I asked if they checked the wiring, I didn’t get a real answer, just a very unsure ‘yes’.
I was ready to chalk it up as a loss and just pay the $80 diagnostic fee. But when I got back in the car, I realized none of my radio stations worked anymore—turns out they had unplugged the antenna and didn’t bother plugging it back in. They also undid some of the wiring and just left it there. I found it when I went to plug the antenna back in.
So I paid for a diagnosis I didn’t really get because they half heartedly looked into it, and got my car back in worse condition than I left it. Very frustrating experience and I would not recommend...
Read moreI recently bought a new car and needed to have Apple CarPlay installed. On my first visit to Audio One, I was warmly greeted by Mr. Jeff, who guided me through the process. He recommended a Sony head unit based on excellent online reviews. Jeff was pleasant and helpful throughout. I also wanted a backup camera installed, and he took care of that as well, ordering all the necessary parts for my car.
About a week later, I scheduled an appointment for 10:30 on a Saturday morning. I arrived at 10:10, expecting the doors to be open so I could wait inside, but they didn’t open until exactly 10:30—my only minor concern. Once inside, they promptly took my car and completed the installation of the backup camera and head unit in about 2.5 hours.
When I picked up my car, everything was clean, and both the backup camera and head unit worked perfectly. However, I started hearing a buzzing noise, which I initially thought was due to the new head unit. I called Jeff, and he quickly assisted me. I brought the car back in, and the technician identified that the noise was coming from my State Farm tracker, not the head unit. Once I removed the tracker, the noise disappeared.
I highly recommend Audio One for any car audio needs—they provided excellent service...
Read moreThe customer service here is unmatched!!! The products are top of the line!!! I was looking to get a remote starter installed on my brand new vehicle. I visited other car audio stores in the area and received terrible customer service. Many other stores had a "Used car lot" mentality. They were just trying to sell me the most expensive product with no care for what I wanted. Once I stepped foot into this store and saw how nice it looked I instantly got a good feeling. I was promptly approached with a smile and a greeting. Next I was asked questions that led me directly to the product I needed (not the most expensive). Then it was an easy transition to the counter to get my information and keys. This was followed by an installer taking my keys and moving my car to the bay to start the work. I received a phone call a couple hours later and returned to pick up my car. I looked over the beautiful pristine install they had done and I paid and was on my way. This is the only audio store in the area I would recommend for anything aftermarket for your vehicle. I wish more businesses would have this high end level of customer service and...
