"VERY FAVORIIBLE "I knew East coast computers prior to this experience with one prior experience, I upgraded my computer (one my own) with a new very powerful video card and I found out my new video card did not have enough power. East coast computers recommended a power upgrade that they had on hand. it more than did the job and it was fair market price.... way more cheaper than big name retailers.
about a year later, my old computer did not work. given my favorable experience with them prior I rolled the dice again. It was a double win in my favor. the mother board went down ( had issues with it prior the power source for doubters, had to keep rebooting it to get it to boot initially ). they took the time to answer my questions and explain every thing to me. being I that I'm kind of of a cynical person (they gave me no reason to be ) I bounced their recordation's off of a very savvy tech friend in Ohio that I grew up with. he reciprocated their recommendation and price quote which gave me a wave of relief and re-issuance of there skill and integrity.
I'm a gamer as well as a college student I use my computer for Microsoft office applications as well as playing Hi end computer games. I grew up playing the old games ( 1st tribes and unreal tournament) if that helps to explain were I come from.
not only did they fix my computer they salvaged all the parts that could be from the computer I sent in. I'm typing this very review not 12 hours from when I got it back. they asked me to run the most demanding program I had in the shop to ensure that there work was satisfactory and it ran flawlessly.
in conclusion my experience was amazing. the service was very fast ( took two days, but I kept asking questions and stalled a bit, however when I made a decision and decided they had parts on hand and physically fixed my computer in less than 24) . I'm very glad of my choice of shop for repairs, this shop is the very definition of American small business striking it out and doing they best they can and put the hands on technician in a one on one with the customer. they also went the distance to ensure i spent the smallest dollar possible via searching replacement options and cross checking them with me.

Not here. My experience from start to finish was nothing but exceptional. To begin I probably bothered Lacy for 2 months through facebook asking questions as I fell down a rabbit hole of the dreaded 141 error and tried to solve it myself. It came down to replacing everything but my GPU as far as I was concerned. When I finally made it to the shop with my collected pieces over the span of 60 days Lacy was ready to answer all my new questions, help me carry in all the parts, and explain every process to me. He even made sure I had researched the issues with the CPU I chose, explained the case to me, cleaned up everything he swapped over from my old unit (I have a big fluffy dog and a partner who smokes) and added some extra parts. He also recycles with the local college which I think is awesome. He was very communicative about the entire process, troubleshot some issues for me and even fixed my middle fan in my gpu. Read moreDo not be fooled by its humble appearance. This place is excellent and honest. I dropped my laptop and the lid separated from the screen. I could not move the screen itself or the lid or else they would crack at the hinge. Plus the computer itself would not turn on. I had taken it to one other top-rated place, but they started disconnecting things on the computer willy-nilly and tried to force the screen up and nearly cracked it. At East Coast Computers, Ron performed a visual inspection with me, talked me through it, and then ran diagnostics. Ron was able to get the computer working in perfect condition again just like before I dropped it. Instead of ordering an expensive lid (which I would've understood if he needed to) he went above and beyond to save me money and was able to take it apart and reassemble in order to fix the lid back onto the screen and make it open and close again without issues. Very sturdy. Ron has been in the business for over 25 years. He even took extra time to teach me about how to make the computer run faster and different ways to back up my data.
