Bojangles — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

AVOID THE STORE ON HOLLAND IN VIRGINIA BEACH.

The store manner is a completely rude and petty individual. I ordered a sandwich but the young lady at the register got it wrong because the manager was walking around the store yelling at all of the employees. “Telling them that this ain’t Golden Corral!” And, that they “wouldn’t be eating if a different manager was present.” Well he got the cashier all flustered and she took my order incorrectly. When I received it and showed her that there was a mistake, she happily agreed to correct it. But, while in the process the imbecilic manager decided to carry his fussing into the order correction. They needed to simply add lettuce, tomato & onions to a fish sandwich— their “BoJangler”. So now agitated started speaking loudly regarding the addition, “…he needs to pay for it, he needs to pay for it…” to which I said, “Sir, I have no issue paying for anything that I ordered.” At this point this further frustrated this immature manager to then begin stating, “…that he’s not about to go back and forth with me…” to which I added, that I’m not sure why he feels we’re going back and forth, when the individual who has made the error was already correcting it. He then started repeating that he “…can just give me back my money…” and continuing on unnecessarily loud, obnoxious and completely rude to the customer who is a coach and bought his team in to purchase after competition and winning a national championship. This Bojjangles stop on Holland is the worse choice that we’ve made since arriving in the Virginia Beach area to compete. I wish I had not succumbed to nostalgia to visit and be embarrassed while with the youth that I train & guide. But, back to the actual incident. I then said sir I’d just like my order. Well, that was not satisfactory to this manager service was outwardly and loudly hostile to his employees when we arrived in the store. But, as he continued carrying his attitude now on to customers. I was finally fed up and finally said you know what sir, I’ll just take my money back. Because this service is unnecessarily rude and hostile. To which he continued fussing. While struggling to open the cash register to return my purchase price of $10.01.

This service is ridiculous and Bojangles should be embarrassed that this man is a manager representing your brand. He belittles and embarrasses employees in front of customers, as well as being loud and hostile towards customers; completely unconcerned that I as a 56 year old man with a group of teenagers was worthy of getting my order correctly as I ordered it. But, he probably doesn’t even recognize that he was the cause of the initial problem to which he doubled and tripled down on it as he continued to escalate a simple corrective action into a contentious...

I just stopped in and ordered a two piece meals and asked for fresh fries. The lady stated some just came up. I said perfect and then when we get to the window the fries were clearly old fries they just dropped in grease again. We told the short blonde/color-dyed haired girl with piercings in her lips, who was at the window and took our order that the fries were old so she took back the old fries they gave us then huffed and asked for someone to drop, “a handful of fries”. While we’re waiting for fresh fries I bit into the chicken and it was also old and dried up from sitting under a heat lamp too long. I didn’t feel like asking for fresh chicken too because she already seemed irritated that I expected fresh food. She then comes back to the window and hands the fries to us and says, “ here ya go” and walked away. Not one time did she apologize but instead seemed irritated I asked for fresh food at 5:22 pm on a Saturday. I will not eat at this Bojangles again, the food was old and nasty… even the new fries seemed old… maybe try changing the grease more frequently and treating customers kindly instead of looking like you hate your job would be a nice start for her, and stop lying to customers and serving old food. I’d gladly wait if I need to over eating old food dropped in grease so it...

This place has been absolutely terrible. My coach ordered something, and considering his age and stress levels, it was already a challenging situation. The customer service here is shockingly rude, which only adds to the frustration. To top it off, their iced tea smells like cigarettes, which is just unacceptable. The manager is particularly awful; he's extremely hostile towards me and my crew, displaying unnecessary rudeness that makes the atmosphere even more uncomfortable. My coach has high blood pressure, and dealing with such negativity from the staff is really tough on him. It's disheartening to see that the staff are not consistent in their service and often seem to be playing around instead of focusing on their jobs. In an even more alarming incident, they called the police on us. When the authorities arrived and realized we weren’t a threat, the staff tried to cover up their mistake by claiming it was an accident. This was not only unprofessional but also deeply concerning.
