Ellen's Bridal — Attraction in Wabash

The perfect wedding experience!! Whoever knew all that would go into feeling pretty on your wedding day? I certainly didn't, but Lisa at Ellen's certainly does. With an open mind and no real boundaries for wedding dress shopping, I started looking casually at all the big bridal stores - or tried to. I frequently found that their hours were inflexible and if I could make an appointment that worked with a normal, busy work schedule, there were many others packed in the store and dressing rooms, taking away anything personal about the experience that I could have hoped for. And trying to manage my strategy for price was nearly impossible given the brief interactions and lack of personal interest in those stores. Fortunately for me, I knew of Lisa Downs and her dress boutique, named Ellen's. I set up my first appointment and when that day arrived, I realized was finally thrilled with my bridal experience.

Lisa takes each and every bride - or customer shopping for any special occasion for that matter - to heart and obviously sets out to ensure their experience feels "pretty" and ends "pretty." She gave me privacy and based my experience out of a charming and elegant room in the back of her boutique. She made sure every dress was placed on me properly and perfectly so I could determine whether or not every beautiful thing I picked out was truly intended for me. She served me and my guests (I brought 5) with her gracious and humble spirit with her full attention, to make sure we smiled and had a "dreamy" experience and least in her store. She makes sure that you have all you want and need - jewelry, shoes, bridesmaid dresses, suits, hair pieces....she has it all and if she doesn't, she'll stop at nothing to make with an "it's no big deal" attitude get it for you. And when my dress finally came to be, it was all that I hoped and dreamed of and Lisa made sure I was in good hands for alterations that were beyond her level of comfort.

Lisa respects your financial limits too and recognizes the scale of spending that goes into a wedding. It doesn't feel like she's there to make a sale, and she isn't....Lisa is there to help each bride experience happiness and make their wedding dress dreams come true, the most personal part of the bride's experience, come true. She truly cares about everyone in your bridal party and will take care of anyone you entrust to her from head to toe, making sure they feel great and look great.

I am so entirely happy with the experience I had at Ellen's when shopping for a dress. I really loved that Ellen's had me fill out a Google Form before my appointment. This was a very efficient way to gather some background information about me and what I was looking for instead of wasting precious appointment time. Instead, we were able to jump right in! They have a great selection of dresses, so this was very helpful in narrowing it down! It also made the entire process feel more personal!

I was very nervous to shop for a wedding dress (because I never had before) and had a lot of questions prior to my appointment. I received a text message from Ellen's the day before my appointment asking if I had any questions - it was as if they read my mind! They were quick to answer and eased all of my worries.

When I arrived for my appointment, I was greeted and helped by Ann. She was LOVELY and truly helped the day go smoothly! I could tell that Ann had read through the Google Form I had filled out and she used the information to help get us started with a few dresses. I loved her little pep talks between dresses and she did a great job at listening to feedback and recommending dresses based upon that feedback. I felt like Ann was my own personal cheerleader for the day and will always remember the role she played in helping me find the perfect dress for my special day!

What a special moment it was to be able to sign my married name for the first time on Ellen's wall after choosing my dress! I love this tradition that they have and will cherish the photos of that moment!

I cannot recommend Ellen's enough and I am so excited to be able to pick up my dress sometime this summer! Every bride in search of their dress should most definitely...

I saw Ellen’s Bridal Boutique through a Facebook page and saw they were having a 3-day off the rack sale. I hopped over to their website to see what Ellen’s was all about and I booked my appointment. I was looking for a small unique little shop to find my wedding dress and that is exactly what I found. I was nervous because the website portrayed maybe they weren’t kid friendly and i had to bring my 5mo baby along, however, they were extremely kind and loving toward my baby. She cried for half of my appointment and they never made me feel like it was a disruption. They actually did everything to help. Not to mention they captured a memory I’ll forever cherish of me holding my baby girl in my wedding gown as I said YES to the dress. The shop isn’t set up for young children who might run around but it was perfectly fine with my baby. I was able to find my dream dress at half the cost and I love and appreciate all of their help. They didn’t rush, didn’t push anything and were kind, honest people. I would 100% recommend making the trip. I traveled 1.5 hours and would recommend a visit for any bride interested in a small unique bridal shop...
