We adopted a second pug, Cole, in December and he's around 2 years old. We don't think Cole had any training prior as we tried to teach him basic commands like "sit" on our own with no luck. When searching for a place to take Cole for training, I was impressed by the other reviews Mollie's had received & the pricing for services were better than others on the area. We went to a meet & greet orientation in early February and have been hooked ever since!
Cole LOVES going to Mollie's. We started Cole in Manners 101 and a few classes in he FINALLY learned sit....he was stubborn 😊 And now he sits like a boss 😎 Cole is a smart cookie and has progressed through each Manners level; he recently began Manners 301 and is working towards taking the Good Canine Citizen test. Mollie's has done wonders for our ability to communicate with Cole effectively and has strengthened our bond with him. They use positive training methods and integrate fun, applicable to the real-world activities into each class. When holidays come up, the class activities are holiday themed - I included photos from St. Patrick's Day 😊 We have started to take Cole to their Agility classes too for some fun 😊 He has no fear and is super tired after Agility classes.
Esmeralda is the lead trainer & owner, and her knowledge, patience, and guidance has been invaluable as we progressed through the Manners classes. The other trainers we've worked with on staff, Abbi & Caroline, bring their own unique skills and guidance that have helped us with Cole in both Manners and Agility.
As a pug parent in Texas, I'm also looking forward to utilizing the open gym time during the hot summer months to keep Cole and our other pug, Maggie, from going stir crazy at our house & give them a safe, climate-controlled space to exert themselves.
I highly recommend Mollie's for all your dog training and play needs. No need to continue searching on Google, go sign up for a meet & greet orientation...
Read moreOur four year old Australian Shepherd rescue dog and I just finished our 12th class at Mollie's Dog Place and we plan to be back for more. I left a raving review on Facebook after our "first day of school," but I can't say enough good things about all that is offered by Esmerelda and Jennifer at Mollie's, so here I am! I feel confident training our dog, but she needed more socialization and going to classes is a fun way to get that + challenge ourselves and try new things. Within the first six pack of classes we earned our dog's Canine Good Citizen and Novice Trick Dog title (we practice a lot at home, too). Then I was inspired to test for her Farm Dog Certification (outside of Mollie's), which she aced with perfect scores. Our next goal is to earn her ACT (Agility Course Test) title and I'm confident we can do it thanks to the foundation our classes have provided. Esmerelda and Jennifer are both really special, one in a million people. They are so kind, friendly & professional and do a superb job of leading training classes. They offer just the right balance of suggestions/corrections and praise with plenty of patience and encouragement for people and dogs who are learning. I was not expecting to have so much FUN at classes, but it's been amazing and really a gateway to doing all kinds of things with my dog. It's incredibly heart warming and inspiring to see so many people and dogs getting needed training and just enjoying each other. I'm SO happy Mollie's exists. Can't recommend this place enough - THANK YOU Esmerelda...
Read moreWhen I first adopted my dog, Cooper, he was just under a year old and was very shy and timid. I could tell he had some training (he knew how to sit) but that he was also very nervous around new people and especially around other dogs. Since I am a new pet owner, I wanted to make sure that he was a well behaved dog, but more importantly I wanted to build his confidence and trust between me and him. I decided to take him to Mollie's because of there culture of positive reinforcement, the great pricing, and the large selection of classes.
Because of Cooper's reactivity, the staff at Mollie's and I decided that he would do best starting in private training sessions where we could work on managing his reactivity while continuing to work on his basic manners. After working through private lessons, he has now progressed to group lessons and is able to continue working on his skills and reactivity with other dogs present! His confidence has sky-rocketed, he is so much more open to meeting new people and dogs, and LOVES working on his new skills both in class and at home.
Esmeralda and Abbi are amazing instructors! They are patient with the dogs (and owners) and provide specific feedback in class to help each dog reach their max potential. They integrate applicable real-life situations to class, create a fun learning environment, and re-enforce that every dog in class is working at their own level and celebrate every small victory!
Cooper loves going to school and I highly recommend Mollie's Dog Place for all of your...
