This museum is a great resource for learning more about the history of the Texas Rangers. We were greeted enthusiasticly upon entering and we're told about the short movie that would be playing in a theater at the end of the hall. Stepping into the display areas you are met with a lot of items that initially seem to be unrelated to the Texas Rangers subject matter. The truth is that the Texas Rangers have a long and storied history that intersect with almost every major event in U.S. History. From the Civil War, WWI, WWII and more recent events in history the Texas Rangers have been part of almost all of it. I have had the pleasure of knowing two Texas Rangers personally and I can say that these men are truly standout individuals in their communities and in Law Enforcement. If you are interested in learning more about the Texas Rangers then this museum is a good place to start. With rooms full of memorabilia and pictures you can start to get a grasp on how important this law enforcement agency has been in the formation of not only Texas History but U.S. History as well. Go enjoy the learning experience and bring home some great memories!

We visited the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame as part of a homeschool outing and were truly impressed! The museum is much larger than it looks from the outside, with so much to see and learn. The exhibits are fascinating, and the introductory video was excellent—very informative and engaging. While we were part of a larger group (mostly from Fort Worth), we want to sincerely apologize for the rowdy and disrespectful behavior from many in that group. They were not part of our personal homeschool circle, and we were honestly embarrassed by the noise and lack of manners. Despite the challenges, our tour guide was incredibly patient and kind the entire time. She handled the situation with grace and continued the tour with professionalism and warmth. We really appreciated her and the whole experience. We also enjoyed browsing the gift shop and picked up some great items. We’re already planning to come back again next year on our own. Highly recommend for anyone interested in Texas history!

The museum is very well organized, with every item of history in the areas properly related to its point in time. The interior is beautiful and structured proper, giving room for information to be put on the walls in a viewable location. Each item has its own interesting backstory and provides context put into understandable sentences. I had some confusion with the building the museum was located in. The woman at the front desk of the Waco Welcome Center quickly and clearly told us where to enter, which is the large building to the left. Tickets were 10$ for adults ages 13 to 59, 8$ for seniors 60 and over, and 4$ for children 6 to 12, with 5 and under given free entry. They also do military/law enforcement discounts, with military being 8$ and law enforcement being 6$. Overall, great museum if you’re looking to dive deeper into the Texas Rangers’ history!

Great history lesson on Texas Rangers, crime, and guns. Bring your reading glasses cause there is alot of small print reading in the displays. I got bored after awhile, honestly, I'm just not that interested in guns and endless displays of them. But I did enjoy the displays of historical crime and the Rangers who help solve them. We didn't have kids with us, but I did note they have a Jr Rangers program for the kids to as they explore the museum, I didn't see that there were any real interactive parts to the museum. Nice gift shop and good documentary film showing. This place is worth the detour, with beautiful displays and real treasure peices if you love guns, and Texas history!

A place to learn about Rangers origin, development and their importance in Texas history. There is a lot of interesting data to learn. The museum has a lot of information to read and also objects to see. If you like to read information, you can spend easily more than two hours. In my opinion, this museum is more enjoyable for adult public because historical information could be a little dense for kids, but objects are great. There is a room where they run a 45 minutes documental that it is included with your admission. It is worth it to see it. During my visit, the documetal started after I saw all the museum so, I was able to rest a little.
