We stopped at this park to stretch our legs and tire out the kids during a long trip. We all loved it and had fun, both young and very old. There is a public bathroom by the parking lot and incredible playground. The playground is modern with both large and small merry-go-round's. And the kids are able to climb around the entire thing. In addition there are both regular and baby swings and a "disk" swing that is a modern take of the tire swing. Between the beach and bathrooms are a basketball court and tennis courts. There is also a nice large beach and swimming area. It looks very nice, bur we didn't have time to test it out. The water was crystal clear. Read moreThe kids were getting restless at the cabin so i decided to bring the kids here to run out some energy. We had a wonderful time. we have driven by so many times and i am certain we will make more stops in the future. The kids loved running around and throwing rocks into the waves coming to shore. The water was super choppy and with no sun out, rather cold. There were only a few kids swimming for a short time before exiting. The cool part of all the waves is that it was rolling in crayfish and the seagulls would come snap them up. The kids didnt like that much so they would chase after the seagulls until they dropped the crayfish. they would then go toss them back in the water. we did that for over a half hour before heading back to...

The park offers restrooms during the summer months, a beach, nice tennis courts, a large playground for children, and pavilions for social gatherings.
The public boat ramp is awesome and handles small to very large vessels. There are also boat slips where you can park to use the restrooms or have a picnic.
Bottom line, its a wonderful park in one of the best cities in north...
