Super One Foods — Local services in Walker

Update: General Manager apologized and they have reviewed and addressed my concerns. Very responsive and polite; less than 24hrs. I was upset when I originally posted... Have 2 kids who are picky eaters and all stores were closed by the time I realized that the food I purchased was expired. Appreciate their assistance. Thank you.

Original post: Generally, I haven't ever had a problem with this market. I stay away from most of their meat products (deli esp. tastes off)...but most of the essentials have been fine. However, I purchased some dry goods from them on 12/24/17 only to find out that they expired on 12/13/17... completely unacceptable especially being the only market in town. Someone is not routinely auditing their stock...make sure to check the dates before...

Nice new grocery store in Walker, MN. We usually go to Brainerd or Grand Rapids to stock up on groceries. However, we decided to give this location a try since it was closer to us. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. There were so many items that we put in our cart only to discover the expiration date was months ago. For example, we had a bottle of Cardini's caesar salad dressing in our cart and saw that it expired in March 2025. When we went back to get a different bottle we saw that all the remaining bottles expired in December 2024! We also found expired items in the bread, dairy, cereal, and even frozen foods! Not going back here unless they get their inventory process under control. Such a shame for what is otherwise beautiful new...

First time coming to Walker area from iowa. This is a very nice grocery store. Lots of selection at reasonable prices. We are going to be here for a week and everyone said you better bring some groceries, they are so expensive here. We wasted a lot of space in our SUV for the trip up just to take this advice and bring a bunch of groceries with us. The kids had their feet resting on cereal boxes. After seeing the prices and selection here I would never recommend bringing groceries with you. I suspect for every $100 we spent it would have cost us $10 more. Was not worth dragging food up here. These guys will have what you need at...
