May 2025 - 2nd update: We went back today for mother's day and it was such a fun, fabulous experience!! We ended up doing 2 rooms (Scooby Doo and Arizona Shootout), both were great. Also like the unique room bracelets if you escape! And, they were very understanding when I reached out in advance letting them know we'd be a bit delayed because of traffic. We will definitely be going back to do another!!
May 2025 - Update since initial review: Increased by a star because I was impressed with customer service after my review. Kara reached out to further discuss the situation and how it could have been better handled while also emphasizing this isn't the experience they want their guests to have. Will be going back for a 2nd chance and will see how that goes. It really is a cool place, looking forward to the next visit and hoping it is better.
April 2025 - Initial review: Not sure we'll come back. We did Batman and it was a lot of fun, until it didn't work. We had figured out a part of the puzzle, entered the code but nothing changed. So we kept trying different things for the remaining 10min, only to find out when the game master came that we had been right all along. Definitely frustrating, they should have noticed this from the control room. Staff admitted that the keypad is finicky, but offered nothing in return. Would have been nice to be offered a larger discount on next (same day) game or a partial refund, something other than "yeah this happens". We most likely would have solved it, had it not been the last 10min of wasted time. Also, surprised that the game master wasn't the same person who had shown us into the room. In all other escape rooms we've done, the same person has worked with us the whole time. Also, wasn't offered incentive to book again, I had to ask about future booking and potential discounts.
Overall the place is cool, you can get snacks, drinks, play games while you wait. The rooms are cool, well designed...just need to work...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe came here for the first time over the weekend and had reserved the 7 deadly sins escape room. The staff were friendly, and we knew this was going to be one of the harder rooms, but we were looking forward to attempting to solve it. It started off well, and it did take a while before we got to the next zone. But in the 2nd zone, as we were running out of time, the attendant entered the room, and she informed us that during the room reset, they had accidently switched two of the locks. The problem was, even after the correction and getting some time added back, the order of the clues was messed up so it took some time before we could figure out what clue was only going to be open after entering the 3rd zone. Then, after solving the final clue, the big reveal failed when the coffin never opened automatically on solving the final clue. The staff had to send a clue/hint that the coffin lid should have popped open and for us to try manually opening it. While the escape room was actually pretty good, I was disappointed with the bad maintenance and the erroneous reset of the room. I would like to give this place another chance someday, and hopefully, it will be a better experience then, with the only mistakes being our...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had a great experience here, and are so glad to have a local spot for our favorite family activity! We've done escape rooms with probably 5-6 companies at this point, and Escapology is similar to the good quality we've come to expect. It definitely helps that it is new! The production value of the atmospheric elements is high and the wear-and-tear on the props is, obviously, low because they are brand new. I really like it when the puzzles are actually woven into the narrative instead of being just obstacles thrown in because they are a challenge, and most of the puzzles we faced were like that. There were only 1 or two that seemed truly random (but maybe we missed the context of why we needed to unlock the sticks in the closet). I really liked the touch that most of the keyed locks used old-timey keys, appropriate to the setting. We played a 9/10 difficulty puzzle and I'd say this was fairly accurate. I'd probably put it at more of an 8/10 compared to some of the other rooms we've done at other companies, but maybe we are just getting too...
