McConnell-Talbert Stadium — Attraction in Warner Robins

I attend a high school football state championship game here, that was moved to this location with only a weeks notice. They were able to handle a very large crowd, without any problems. I was there supporting the visiting team and was extremely impressed with the high visibility and very large presence of local law enforcement. We did not know what to expect going to this Stadium knowing this game was originally scheduled in the Mercedes-Benz Dome in Atlanta. Warner Robins really stepped up to the plate and were good hosts. The only issue was a 1/2 mile long line to wait to get into the stadium... but that WASN'T their fault... it was a result of GA High School Sports Association selling tickets for the original location, The Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta... and not knowing how many of those tickets sold were in fact for this particular AAAAA Championship game... vs all the other games scheduled for the original date, where 5 championship games were to take place on the same day in the same location, in ab all day event. Again... this was not the fault of the home team or management of this stadium. It is worth saying again.... the local law enforcement and Ga State Patrol were excellent, very helpful and very visible...

I have been going here for decades. The big stadium in Warner Robins. I love to see WRHS and Northside play football there each fall. They have upgraded it recently and it's even better now with new snack bar...
