So I went to Daisy Exchange on September 17, 2013 to sell some cloths from before I was pregnant. I wore sweatpants and a tee shirt not thinking anything of it. I walk in and it had just started raining. I said "Im sorry" referring to the cloths that were semi wet from the rain "I didn't know it was going to rain." She then just stared at me and said "Put your cloths up here." After about ten minutes of me trying to register on this TINY pink computer , considering se had just pointed to it and said "Register" , and not bein able to figure it out because instead of helping me the girl was more focused on her social life and talking to her co workers. After the fourth time of asking her to help me she shooed me away with her hands and did it. She turned to me and said "Go look around" That's all she said. I was confused. I had never sold cloths before. I said "Look around for what?" She rolled her eyes "Just go so I can look at your cloths" Then walked away. Already kind of angry at this point for her rude behavior I walked around and pretended t look at things until she YELLED my name. She then proceeded to tell me "We have to many dresses already, We have to many high heels, and your jeans are to ripped and stained (which is how they were made)" Then pushed the cloths into my face and said "Thank for bringing them in" and walked away.
This place is s disrespectful and so unprofessional it blew my mind. Instead of treating me like a person she treated me as if I was trash. I could feel her judgmental eyes scan my clothing. Just because I wasn't dressed up I was treated like crap. I am a mom to a one year old and if your a mom you understand that some days you don't really want to get dressed. It was one of those days. I have never been so awestruck by customer service until that day. I will NEVER go back...
Read moreIâve done business within this place a few times within the past five years⌠Got to admit itâs not as good as it used to be.
Staff was excellent. Came in around 4:00 PM today to sell four boxes of clothes varying from jeans, t shirts, activewear, etc. Most of it was in fair to great condition, a lot of Levi and Wrangler jeans I thought they would have boughtâŚ
Not too sure what they ended up buying, but after about 30 minutes of walking around the very small menâs section, they called me back up to say they picked 6 items (out of the 80 or so things I bought in) and could offer me just under $15 cash. Fair enough I guess, wasnât going to say no, but also know I could easily sell most of this stuff on Depop or eBay considering itâs more vintage than what they typically buy/sell.
However, my biggest gripe has to do with the fact that theyâre buying mostly designer/mall brand items, mostly new with tags and charging up to $40 for some items. One item that particularly caught me off guard were a pair of cutoff Levi jorts, black with rips all over as if you would find it in the clearance section of a Ross or TJ Maxx. They wanted $40! Not to sure mention that most of the menâs section is comprised of womens clothes that could pass as menswear, but very obviously came from the Womens graphics at Target or something adjacent.
Whoever owns this place needs to realize that their selection nearly mirrors every goodwill or surrounding thrift store in the area and should base their business decisions off of that. If I want mall-brand items I can go to the goodwill off of 39th and Penn instead of paying absurd prices for Pacsun or Calvin Klein at Daisy Exchange.
Great and friendly staff, but management needs to do better if they want to keep...
Read moreBrought in a ton of TRENDING clothes to sell- with the intention of also shopping there that day- only for them to cheerfully tell me that they wouldn't give me a dime for any of my clothes because they weren't trending brands. On their selling policy board that everyone can see, nowhere does it say they only accept trending brands- just trending clothing pieces. I couldn't take my stuff back to sell elsewhere because they already TAGGED AND PRICED everything đĄ there was a very trending piece that they were going to charge $25, but they couldn't give me anything in return? I put back everything I WAS going to buy, because I don't want to shop at a place that cheats me for their gain only. I figure if they don't want to pay me even a fraction of what they are charging on my clothes just because of a brand difference, then I don't want to pay them for their clothes because I don't want the brands they carry. đ Do NOT try to sell to them. I understand their business thrives mostly from trending brands, but if they are going to sell whatever people bring in anyway, then they better be fair to each of their customers. I've never reviewed a business before, and if I have a bad experience somewhere I just bare with it and smile, but this was just too ridiculous. Save yourself a headache and...
