Never a worse or more expensive burger experience! We entered and mentioned in my 20 yrs in OK, this was my first time at Whataburger. Cashier was new but nice. The mushroom swiss burger was what brought us in. We chose 2 double burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks and a plain cheeseburger to take home to our dog. We were charged a full burger meal price for a single, plain burger. I asked about it, cahier checked with manager and said it was corrected. It wasn't but we'r didn't realize it until we'r were served. I asked to speak with the manager. Total attitude! She told me the extra cost for the slice of cheese equals the meal price! Really? How can that be? She refused to change it. I asked WHY a burger meal cost so much? She explained they serve Black Angus aand then proceeded to preach to me about how busy they are (as I looked around at an empty restaurant) and how much people live them, etc., etc. Wow. No customer support and a lecture!
The only other gentleman in the place waited forever for his meal and was met with similar attitude that prompted him to speak with us. He had seen and heard the conversation we had and disapproved. This was a first visit to this location by him as well and bre suggested we go to another location in the future.
There were almost no mushrooms on my burger... so what am I paying for? It's what brought me in. Fries were barely warm. We were not impressed.
I watched 2 staff members and a manager walk around drinking cups on the floor in front of the cashier, stand around with nothing to do while a customer waited without being taken care of. As we'r finished, the manager brought us a couple coupons for a future visit. Future visit? We will never be returning! The empty restaurant should have given us a clue... but we honestly weren't ready to pay so much for so little and a lecture without the support we requested.
Service like this... will definitely cause an empty restaurant! We will NEVER return and don't suggest anyone else does either!
Note: We could have eaten at several different local restaurants for less. Big mistake! Huge!...
Read moreI had a hair in my burger that I pulled out of my mouth and there was a second hair on the other side of my burger. I thought I had called and had this issue apologized for and resolved. Turns out i had called a different location, whom the manager was far more understanding than the one i spoke with once i arrived at this location. I had told them the situation in the drive thru to which they told me there was no manager at this location by that name. The woman at this location told me she was not willing to do anything about my issue then proceeded to raise her voice at me when i explained the situation to her, she was focused on the managers name I had provided to them, versus the situation at hand. She even accused me of putting the hair in there myself. I was astonished. She told me I could call corporate but that she was not going to do anything about it. I asked her name several times and she would not tell me. She continued to raise her voice to the point she was almost screaming at me and coming out of the drive thru window at me, she was talking over me and yelled that she was the manager, I then asked if her name was Dionne Bennett it says she is the general manager and she yelled at me that her name was Amanda g and I said according to my receipt you were the cashier and she starts screaming at me that she is the general manager and she wasn't even there on Saturday.
