This is a nice, open, quiet park, with sports fields and with playground equipment for young kids (from 3 to 11 is probably the right range for the playground equipment). Lots of trees and meadow grasses, and if you're here in the morning you can hear/see all sorts of birds, especially along the bike path near the right of way.
The surface of the playground does get really hot in direct sun, and there isn't a lot of shade in the way of tall trees for the playground, so on a summer day you're going to want to bring drinks and take breaks in the shadier places.

Read moreWe had a great experience at this park. It has a huge playground. My daughter enjoyed all of the interactive parts of the playground. A lot of swings available, and also a few places to sit down (was nice for a pregnant lady). I like how the ground is not mulch like many other parks, so it’s less messy.
Plenty of parking spaces. There are restrooms nearby, which is very convenient. Also, there is a storm warning bell to warn if there is lighting/thunder nearby so you can leave the playground for your safety.

There is a well maintained covered shelter with picnic tables and although there is no public grill, there are plenty of lush grass areas for picnics and reading.
