I have a love-hate relationship with this Kroger. It is in an incredibly convenient location, but it seems everyone has the same thought. This Kroger, no matter what day or time, is ALWAYS crowded and difficult to navigate with a cart. I will say that the new store layout with the wider isles is so much nicer than any Kroger experience I've ever had. I've always found Krogers to be claustrophobic when I went to one, and having wider isles is an incredible relief. However, the parking lot is just as chaotic as ever. The traffic around the store and in the parking lot is unpredictable and not particularly safe.
Regarding stock, I frequently have to forego one or several things on my list because it just isn't in stock or the quality of items just isn't up to par.
On one occasion, my roommate and I went to this Kroger and experienced a horrendous, wafting smell that tainted the entire store (to prevent this review from sounding disingenuous - it smelled ominously like male discharge). On a separate occasion, my roommate and I waited 2 hours to check out while the cash registers were down.
Additionally, the pharmacy is always behind on filling prescriptions, no matter how common your request, and they hardly ever call to let you know your prescription has been filled when you request a new prescription or refill over the phone or through your physician. On more than a handful of occasions, I've gotten a notification that my prescription is ready, only to come up to the counter and find out it hasn't even been filled yet.
Despite all this, I have to thank all of the employees at this location for their patience and diligence. A lot of my complaints really seem to be symptoms of poor pay, lack of benefits, and not enough support for employees by management. There are an incredible amount of patrons that frequent this store, and I'm sure they have...
Read moreKroger Mktplace is like an extension of our home, since we spend so much time there. It is not like the usual grocery bc it also has home products, including the occasional patio furniture, and a clothes area with a fitting room. The produce is great quality. The deli counter has home cooked foods, that are great if you want to order catering for a cheaper place. We ordered the baked chicken, 50 pieces for my daughter's bday party. the seafood is also fresh and good. The dairy, we love Kroger carbmaster yogurt, cheapest price with highest protein in yogurt. The bakery is incredible with so many items. There is a discount area near the bank where you can find clearance foods and items. There is also a toy area with lots of the usual stuff. The employees there are wonderful. They always say hi, and are very helpful. One night I was there late and the clerk "anna" or "ann" helped me calm down my 4 yr son who was throwing a tantrum bc he wanted the rainbow colored popsicles (should be illegal to sell! just kidding). They often offer us bananas, tangerines, yogurt pouches and stickers for the kids. They often have free taste corners during weekends. I love the clicklist option, and the digital coupons. I got a free turkey for thanksgiving with my clicklist order. The clicklist order is perfect for moms on the go, and I'm so happy they have more same day slots on Saturdays. The scan and go is a great idea too. Kroger has a lot of competition in the area, but its still our go-to place for groceries. I do wish they would put more go-to stuff near the front of the store, like eggs, juice, milk, instead of having to go the back, like an "express" area. I also wish there was a toy place, my little ones like playing on the "truck" at the entrance to walmart. Otherwise, keep up the good...
Read moreDO NOT SHOP THIS KROGER AS IT IS HIGHLY UNSAFE! I went here to get food prior to going to the Columbus Zoo with my family including my 3 year old son. When we arrived he needed his diaper changed as he was soiled. I went into the family restroom to change him and attempted to place him on the changing table that was attached to the wall. The changing table bottom immediately gave out and my son fell to the floor onto his head, arms, and lower legs. I immediately checked for signs of trauma and did not observe any as I was able to catch him as he fell, limiting the impact to the floor.
Upon inspection, I found that the plastic where the bottom joins to the side attached to the wall was completely separated. I immediately went to customer service and asked for the manager. A store lead, Nate, met me and I showed him the table. He apologized and said that they would tape it off so no one used it anymore.
Upon talking with Nate further, Nate explained that they have been aware of this defect for SEVERAL WEEKS, yet nothing was done nor was any notice posted on the changing table. He explained we would fill out an incident report which was a blank piece of paper he grabbed from a printer. This is not Kroger policy. I explained to him that I would be recording our interaction to which he explained that he did not consent to recording and refused to speak further. I informed him that there are legal consequences at hand here since they were aware of the issue yet did nothing to rectify. I will no longer shop this location and I am awaiting follow up from Kroger corporate. Currently I am also monitoring my son for signs of injury and following concussion protocol.
DO NOT SHOP THIS LOCATION. IF YOU CARED ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS YOU WOULD PUT SAFETY AT...
