What do you look for when you take a vacation? In my case, it is to create positive memorable experiences. The firehouse is the opportunity to do just that. It is unlike any property that you will ever stay in. You get to stay in a place that is rich in history. The continuity in the design tells a story, and the attention to detail is second to none. The towering ceilings and complementary large windows, provide for an unparalleled dining experience around the kitchen island. The original brass fire pole, sliding ladder, and fireman costumes enable children to unlock their creativity.
The setup is magical. Not to mention the host is fantastic. Mike is a wealth of knowledge for dining and activity recommendations. Our holiday was made thanks to his above and beyond hospitality. We even met his mother, Donna, who was also a delight.
You can tell he is very passionate about the property, as well as the neighborhood (Shaw) which has come a long way since he acquired it roughly 7 years ago. A testament to the gentrification is the $160mn school which was recently built across the street, as well as the park around the corner with soccer fields, basketball courts and a skate park.
