Everyone was super great, the staff made me feel like I was at home, I checked in all by myself, and stayed from last Thursday to the next Wednesday and the hospitality was just so great, I don’t want to leave. I became to know the staff, and they became to know me by name which shows they really care. They had nothing but the upmost respect and care. I really enjoyed being here. I enjoyed the room, the cleanliness the bed was super soft. I have rods in my back and they never bothered me. It is definitely the comfort inn and I do have two employees that made this stay super special for me and now makes me wanna come here it’s stay for a whole month. Every morning I have breakfast conversation with me and she was so nice and I really needed that being away from home myself eating by myself. It was really nice to have a friendly face every morning to go see there is also another lady at the front desk. I’m gonna have to catch her name. Super awesome super sweet she always calls me. Miss Brianna calls me right away when my Uber comes, she’s amazing and then there’s the cleaning lady who was very respectful and nice when I asked if she could just come in real quick and just vacuum it wasn’t a problem for her. She was super nice and I enjoyed spending my time with her as well, and that was. Milagro. And she went above and beyond and cleaned more than just vacuumed. I didn’t want to feel like a burden, but she was more than happy. I would really like to catch the lady at the front desk name because she was really great. She was here the day I checked in, she recommended a food place when I asked, and when I talked to her about it being my first time here, and how I love the scenery, she didn’t just shut my conversation down. She listened intently and was really nice and she made my stay. Really nice , and she was also Working yesterday night on February 12, those three employees stuck out exceptionally in their hospitality, and making me feel welcomed and comfortable ,exceptional are the employees super exceptional. It’s not just the hotel in The and amenities that makes the stay nice, it’s the staff !!! being here for six days I really enjoyed seeing them and having small conversations and feeling their hospitality and their kindness and their positive attitude it...
Read moreI booked my recent weekend stay at the Comfort Inn Downtown/Convention on the Choice Privileges website and clearly communicated specific "special needs" in my reservation request which was confirmed by Choice Privileges more than one month prior to my arrival and again a couple of day before.
Unfortunately, when we arrived at the Comfort Inn on an unseasonably sweltering 90 degree day in April, I was informed the hotel had no record of my Choice Privileges reservation and was not prepared for the special needs I had clearly communicated and were confirmed by Choice Privileges.
The staff immediately summoned the Hotel Manager who appeared as disappointed as I was with the breakdown in communication between my reservation confirmation and my arrival.
It was immediately obvious the hotel would not be able to accommodate my special needs request to the level of our expectations.
Just as panic was about to set in, the Hotel Manager quickly returned with a couple of bottles of ice water (Thank you !) and in a genuine empathetic manner suggested two possible options to address our dilemma.
I was majorly impressed with his quick "thinking on this feet" approach as both options were suitable in the short-term and I chose the first one as it allowed us to stay at the hotel in a suitable room and clearly communicated proper direction to the hotel staff to handle any inconveniences caused by the reservation snafu during our stay.
We LOVED the location of the hotel, the morning breakfast service (waffle machine!) and most of all the personalized service that assessed and solved the dilemma with our special needs reservation in manner that one would be hard-pressed to find in a large, luxury property where you would have to repeat your problem at multiple levels before maybe reaching someone with authority to do anything.
I originally chose the Comfort Inn Downtown for the location and value.
But for future visits, it will be my first choice due to the exemplary level of guest service and the...
Read moreThe location of the hotel was awesome! Very nice neighborhood. Parking is located a couple of (small) blocks away. It wasn't an issue for us, but could be an issue for someone who isn't able to walk easily. There is a place in front of the hotel to park and unload and there is a handicap entrance that you have to speak with the front desk to operate. We thought the hotel was nice. The room was a decent size (we chose a corner suite, which had a bit more room) it was more than adequate, as we never spend too much time in our room while on vacation, anyway. I will say the windows are incredibly thin, so you can hear the road noise. This didn't bother me, but if you're a light sleeper, something to keep in mind. As far as the service, it was very meh. The gentleman at the front desk couldn't have been more dismissive. He barely said 5 words to us and handed us a paper with all of the information one would ask, or be provided when checking in to a hotel. (It was nice they provided the paper with the information, but the gentleman could have been a bit more welcoming, in my opinion) We felt safe and breakfast was good. I didn't get a "dungeon" vibe, as someone had said in a past review. I thought it was very well-lit and choices were your standard hotel breakfast choices. The workers in the breakfast area, and the maintenance staff were super nice, unlike the front desk. Housekeeping left a placard with a QR code so you could leave them a tip (which didn't work) on the TV stand. I didn't find any reason to tip, as the room was clean, as one would expect it to be, but not overly clean (the curtains had spots all over). So overall, if we hadn't reserved this hotel on rewards points, I may have been more harsh with my review, as it was quite pricey for a night. But we enjoyed how...
