A good place to fly RC aircraft. IMO the best place in the area. The people I've met there are generally friendly, helpful and encouraging. There are free training nights on Tuesdays in the summer, which are a great way to get into the hobby. I've made a few friends here, both very young and very old, and I almost always have someone come talk to me at some point, even if it's just to see what I'm flying or say hi. Generally people here are pretty chill and will not care what you do so long as you try to follow the rules and aren't doing something obviously dangerous. Many times people have lent me tools or supplies or advice to fix something after a crash without me asking. I try to return the favor by helping people find lost planes with my mavic mini. I have found about 5 planes for people in 2022. For me, it has been more than worth the membership fee.

The R/C club at Marymoor is such a treasure to the park. Did you know that people have been flying remote control airplanes in the park since the 1960s? The club offers free flight lessons on Tuesday evenings in the summer. If you are looking to fly your drone at the park, feel free to contact the club and they can arrange to have you fly as a guest. No membership needed for your first flight. A membership to AMA is required to join the R/C club which provides liability insurance along with other perks. Current club membership dues are $60 per year which is one of the lowest of any flying field in the state. Youth memberships are free. The club has over 200 active members who are more that willing to help out any r/c enthusiast who is interested in flying.

My son has been a member there for a few years and he absolutely loves it! This place is very well taken care of and is very friendly to everyone. There are instructors who are willing to train people as long as they have memberships for both AMA and Mar/C.

Great field in the well-known Marymoor Park. Easily accessible from Seattle, Bellevue. Facilities like on-site restroom and power outlets makes whole-day flying possible, if you so wish. The membership fee is absolutely attractive considering the location. BTW, the club has a Facebook group, which I would definitely recommend you joining if you're a member.

One caveat is that most people are flying airplanes. I so far have only seen ONE other person flying...
