We were tourists in D.C. but wanted to come to church on Sunday. We expected to slip in quietly and listen. But the parishioners in this church were so friendly! There was a young man behind us who immediately held out his hand to welcome us and introduce himself. As more people came, they, too, all immediately shook our hands and introduced themselves. There was Ron and Wanda with granddaughter Kaylie, Edwin, Jacob, plus Leslie, Lonnie, Paul, Rosalyn with her children in the hall, ladies in the restroom, and so many whose names I've forgotten. The friendliness amazed us for such a big church in the nation's capitol. Love and kindness and welcoming were abundant. Today he said he ran the camera for the service. Thank you for giving a small town boy from Maine such an amazing opportunity, and for making it possible for me to watch your services via the Internet. It makes this proud mom feel closer to my son! The services are wonderful from the moment the organ starts, then the choir's procession and songs, the children's portion, the sermon, and everything in between and beyond. Truly...
