Well ..I Dont Like To Review But This Is Just A Way Vent....I Did An Online Pick Up They Basically Just Set It Aside For You...When I Arrived To The Store Gave My Name..The Game Was There Ready For Pick....The Young Lady Behind The Counter Said ..We Dont Have Any Sealed Game This Is The Last One Its New But We Only Use The Box For Display ..She Seals The box With A Claer Seal On The Side....i Asked If The Book Inside....Her Reply Was Yes Everything Is Inside....Ok...I Should Have Asked For Proof But Again Its New Just For Display..I Asked Another Question Any ProblemsCan i Return It..Her Answer Yes....So Come Christmas Day Present Gets Opened Gift Inside Happy Child...Opens Box Game inside With A Cd Envelope...No Hand Book...Unfortunately For The Child He Likes To Read The Book....So This Kid Went From A Smiling Kid To A Crying One....Returned To The Store Spoke To The Manager..Her Answer..We Cannot Take Back Open Games......Store Policy...Helllllooo You Sold Me A Open Game...In Other Word They Can Do What Ever They Want At A Childs Expense But Not On Thiers SHAME on Them And Shame On Me For Trusting Game Stop...I Did Call Coorparate But All i Do is Stay On Hold.....Thats A Great...

This store is always cramped and feels dirty when you walk in. It is always hot as h*ll and there is always some funky smell. So many products are kept behind the counter or they just plain don't have them. The game selection is mediocre and there are even less for the older but still popular systems. The collectible and toy selection is just awful, they have more socks then collectibles. The employees are always so busy working behind the counter that they aren't available to help beyond. The line in this place is always ridiculously long when this is easily the worst store in this area. I've only found 2 employees that have been pleasant in all the times I've shopped here. Working in Waterbury, I came across this GameStop in September 2022, during the Shiny Eternatus event in Pokémon Sword & Shield. This was after my local GameStop in Shelton ran out, so I was impressed. I later came back to pre-order Scarlet & Violet, and the service was good. Overall, it's a good GameStop, but I do have my qualms. They did not have the pre-order bonus for Scarlet and Violet double pack (the pins) when I went around 5:30, which was a bummer. I'm guessing they were not properly stocked or gave them to people who had not pre-ordered. I've tried calling since then (to inquire if they will by chance get more pins for those folks like me who pre-ordered and didn't get them), but despite them having answered my calls in September, they haven't picked up.
