Idk why all these people are upset about the policies I love them! No toddlers over 12 is easy to follow. Just leave them in the car with the window cracked like I always do. They will be fine trust me. I did almost forget and brought my kid in but fortunately I was stopped at the door and reprimanded accordingly. I then put my kid in the car where he belongs. I don't have a dog and why bring them in the store? I don't do drugs so that's easy. I'm a live laugh love kind of guy so only good vibes here. My daddy raised me to be respectful to everyone. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I thought the new sign was pretty clear.
I got some really super duper items here as well! The unique horse with feathers symbolism of old mythology makes a great center piece in my family room. My eldest son also got a neat earing for a great deal. I've been coming here for years and always have a great experience.
My only complaint is that that some of the items said it was made by ethically sourced children. It says with consent by their parents but I couldn't find anything online about this but I'm also not well versed in child labor. But it says ethically sourced so it must be quality :) don't mind the mess in my photo, my vacuum hasn't been working right.
Edit 1: I left what I thought was a positive review about how much I like this store. Their products are great, the staff are always so kind. I even defended them on the store policies since so many people seem upset about them. I don't know why the owners responded so negatively to me. despite that I will still shop here and once my son who IS still alive AND HEALTHY. Turns 13 he to will get to shop here too. I hope this cleared up any confusions...
Read moreMan at front desk is rude. Take your business elsewhere.
Edit: Having a policy is fine. Your man at the front desk was rude. It seems I'm not the only person who feels his customer service has much to be desired. I explained that your website was incomplete, "janky", and not direct in policies. Your man said nothing in response. I understand you can deal with people coming in with kids frequently and you get sick of having to turn them away, but his attitude was unnecessary.
Edit, again: I skimmed but it seems the gist is you guys don't like being held accountable in any regard. The link to your store policies on your site didn't work. I checked it before coming, and checked it at home. You even state "we know this website is crappy" on your site. Being told no is okay. Being given attitude is not. Like I said I'm sure you have to turn people away frequently and get sick of doing it. But you don't need to be rude in doing so. You send novels in response, showing attitude in those resposes to anyone who dares comment that you aren't 100% perfect. It's not at all surprising that "the man at the desk" is the one writing responses. Maybe you have a problem handling accountability/criticism? Either way bottom line is you'll continue losing business if your employees treat others disrespectfully and with an attitude. But continue with the novels. Like others have said, you're just...
Read moreWow what happened to this place? I used to love coming in here and browsing around looking at all the cool and unique things. I’ve gotten many funky items from here that I still have 15 years later. I am visiting for the holidays and stopped in to what now looks more like a vape shop with everything behind glass and a ticket system like I’m at the deli. I read some recent reviews and can’t believe how hostile these people are to their long time customers. This place was a staple of the community that I always talked about when reminiscing about back home, hopefully these people let someone else run it or chill out while there’s still a chance. They talk about their long time success but that was because of all the things it USED to be. Thank god I didn’t have any patriot attire or Trump apparel or god forbid my daughter with me or they wouldn’t have let me in in the first place. Sadly this place will fall by the wayside but not because of prices or convenience like other retail failures, but because of the neurotic new managers who get off on arguing with customers like it’s Facebook. It’s sad because people loved this place like it was a friends house, not just because of the cool products. Hopefully they turn around and save themselves. See crazy...
