Working here as a lifeguard was an amazing experience that I will never forget! The water is clear and clean, the views are amazing, and the swimmers are always polite. Coming here as a swimmer was also enjoyable. I never had any problems or situations that made me feel unsafe. The only thing I will say that is negative is that the parking here is atrocious. Most times I had to parallel park in the street due to limited space, so prepare to dig up old skills on hot days, especially during lunch or dinner rush.
Hey all! here are some beach rules that you all should preemptively prepare for to improve the beach experience.
No floaties (including kick boards) that aren’t coast guard approved are allowed in the swim area. You can check for approval on the device to see if it’s allowed while lifeguards are on duty (12-6pm daily). Paddle boards and kayaks must be launched outside of the swim area. No pets of any kind are allowed on the beach, dock, or swim area. Plan for them to stay in the grass from 12-6pm. If thunderstorms are expected, prepare to be pulled out of the water when thunder if heard. Lifeguards are required to do this in case of electricity travel in the water. Other rules related to beach activity may be enforced, but these are the ones that may require...
