The historic Wayzata Depot is an amazing artifact from the past which is all cleaned up and ready for visitors today. The historical story of the depot and the area is told when the doors are open but the park like grounds and steamboat pier are always available. There is a garden club that cares for a lovely perennial garden and a model railroad club that manages the out door model railroad. This small place is very cute. It has a village model right outside in the garden with beautiful tiny model houses. The cozy museum inside brings a lot back from the past time. The old gentlements work there are very kind, and they look so happy and peaceful. One helped to show my nephew the train models and also guided him to blow the whistle.
