The management at this establishment is horrible and some of the rudest individuals I have encountered in this industry. A group of 5 of us came in for Resteraunt week. We had a reservation for 5pm and were on time and seated promptly. The waitress came over and was just meh but took our drink orders brought them back and then didn't come back. We had to flag down one of the kitchen people who was bringing stuff out in order to get our waitress to order our meals. Now mind you I have a SEVERE nut and citrus allergy among many others so I always make sure to tell this up front. We started ordering off the restaurant week menu and my friend orders the wedge salad to which she says no onions and the waitress barks no we cant do any modifications my friend says can you just put them on side or leave them off she say no rudely and tells her they are big enough for you to pick off. Next I want the beef spare ribs however it says it has orange bread crumbs which is citrus so I say I would like it without she says no we can't do modifications the chef won't do it. So I say basically you guys don't care about allergies because I'm clearly telling you I cant eat those she says no we can't do it. So by this time I'm pissed because it makes no sense why they can't leave a garnish off so I order it and proceed to the front to find a manager. I end up talking to the hostess first who asks what the issue was she is nice and says yep I'll get the manger. She leaves from behind the desk and walks over to a lady I believe her name was Crisssy or Cristy and I see her explaining it to her and then I hear the manger loudly say NO MODIFICATIONS so I walk over and say oh you would rather for your guest to die of an allergic reaction instead ? The hostess says I have not finished explaining the situation to her but you can. So I tell her the exact same thing I told the waitress she says no we can't do it I said I'm not modifying anything I just asked to leave it off it's just a garnish she proceeds to argue back and forth with no empathy at all. I say so you don't take allergies serious here I got it she says yes we do I say how I can't tell. I'm telling you I can't have citrus and you basically told me then I can't eat of the restaurant week menu I need to find something off the regular menu because you can't leave a simple garnish off. Then I ask about desserts like are you sure the crust on the Cheesecake and cake are nut free she says well if you told your server I'm sure she would tell you but yes they are I said so you make them in house to know there is no contamination she says YES very sharply. By this time I feel myself getting very upset so I let her know how rude she is and walk off. After that everytime they bring a piece of my food out they try to be funny and say here this is yours the nut allergy one. Sad to say but I felt very racially discriminated against. We were five black young ladies and the level of service we got was beyond trash. Very sad because all their other white patrons were being tended to with the utmost attention and chipper attitudes. The food was excellent except the oreo Cheesecake which was at min mediocre and when they brought my food out they had left the orange bread crumbs off... so why would I be talked to disrespectfully and argued with if they were going to do what I asked anyways. I am appalled at how the manager treated me no concern, not apologetic, nothing but blatant disgust for a young black women with allergies. I would not ever step foot in this establishment again!! Having allergies is serious and nothing to play with so all restaurant should be very careful how they treat those specific situations and if you are not able to show empathy, communicate properly or have customer service skills you definitely should not be the manager. There were more words exchanged but this is the short...

Gluten friendly menu options. However, please be very weary & ensure your server & the BOH understands your dietary needs & what it is you can & cannot have e.g. wheat, barley, rye.
Chimichurri flank steak • marinated flank steak, smoked paprika chimichurri & mashed potatoes ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rare just the way I like my steaks 👌🏽 the mashed potatoes were so creamy, but a slight texture from some chunks of potato 🥔 creamy & delicious! The best mashed potato I’ve ever had (besides the one I make for Thanksgiving lol). As for the steak, perfectly seared & rare just the way I like my steaks. The chimichurri added a nice freshness to the almost smoky tasting flank (I don’t know if there was liquid smoke in the cooking process or if I was just inhaling the smoke from all the jackson manhattans going out). Tender, juicy & fresh flank. Yummmmmy!
Steak tartare • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ certified black angus filet, cornichon, capers, pickled relish aioli & of course the baguette 🥖
Certainly a favorite appetizer of mine. There’s a textural elegance with the tartare & the relish & capers add to that delightfulness. This was the first course in my meal selection, & I’d choose it again.
🦪 A dozen of the most delectable oysters ever! Maybe this is because I haven’t had oysters in a hot minute, but, I’m always a fan. The oysters were not part of restaurant week, but the happy hour deal on them is so worth it.
$12 cape code oysters (4) $6 pink moon oysters (2) but I got double the oysters so 12
Also, five stars for Isabella! She is extremely personable, attentive & prompt. I put my glass of water on the window sill & she came back, thinking she missed a water for me & I assured her she didn’t. Though she was busy with many tables & diners, she still took time to chat with us & make time to answer questions regarding the gluten friendliness of the menu. She checked & double checked with the kitchen to make sure accommodations were met-& not once did she seem annoyed.
Shout out to Isabella!!

$35 Dinner for Open Table’s Restaurant Week
Bacon & bourbon | house cured bacon & bourbon soaked cherries with a shot of Old Crow ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ not bad. I was expecting the bacon to be more crisp, but it was very good. Naturally salty & slightly sweet from the cherry sauce. My first time trying Bourbon & the smell reminds me of Hennessy
Steak tartare | certified black angus filet, cornichon, capers, chives, pickled relish aioli, quail egg & spicy chips ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ holy cow! This is my first time having steak tartare & I don’t know how I haven’t had it yet! 🤤 I broke the quail yolk atop the tartare (as I’d seen in tv shows 😅), mixed it together & scooped everything up on a chip. Perfecto! 👌🏼 the smooth texture of the angus mixed with the creamy yolk goes so well with the crispy chips. You get a burst of slight sourness from the capers, but creaminess from the yolk that calms everything down. The tartare is seasoned perfectly & just amazing!
7oz filet mignon served with béarnaise & I chose brussel sprouts for my side ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ very tender, cooked perfectly rare for me & had that perfect seared crust on the outside. I wasn’t too keen on the little kick the sprouts had from the pepper, but they too were cooked perfectly. There wasn’t much flavor to the mignon, but this is one of those times where the meat is prepared well enough that it didn’t need any seasoning; the sprinkle of flakey salt on it was good enough. As for service, I didn’t catch the name of our server, but she lacked personality. Service wasn’t horrible, but lagged & interaction with her felt forced. Just another day on the job for...
Read moreI came here at the recommendation of friends and based on the Yelp reviews, I was expecting this place to wow me. But alas, it left me wanting for a lot more. The restaurant does not live up to the all of the hype, AT ALL.
I met 3 friends at 6Smith for my pre-birthday celebration on a Monday night after making reservations. The place was completely packed so you definitely have to make reservations online before coming in. We started with a bunch of drinks and a handful of appetizers. We got the 6Smith Chicken Wings (which had a house blend dry rub), the Char Grilled Fresh Sweet Corn (elote style with a side of chips), Roasted Cauliflower (with spice, red pepper aioli, parmesan), and the Triple Dip French Fries (which came with béarnaise, truffle aioli, curry ketchup). All of the apps were really good, my favorites were the chicken wings (the dry rub was amazing and had a little kick to it) and the char grilled corn (it was more of a dip but very tasty).
We were off to a promising start and were excited to try our entrees, which is when everything went horribly wrong. Out of 4 meals, only one us actually liked what we ordered. We got the Miso Marinated Seabass (came with asparagus and mixed greens, yuzu dressing), the Chilled Lobster Roll (came with a brioche bun, celery, tarragon aioli, shredded lettuce), the Fat Burger (bacon and onion jam, sharp cheddar fondue, bacon, American cheese, LTO, brown butter brioche bun), and the Hanger Steak Chimichurri (which came with a side of grilled tomato & scallion, toasted baguette). The only thing they got right was the burger lol. Everything else was terrible or disappointing. To start, the lobster was not fresh and my friend noticed it immediately and stopped eating his meal for fear he would become violently ill the next day (will update my review if he gets food poisoning tomorrow). The seabass was just OK, nothing special, good presentation but over a bed of messily chopped veggies (for the price and reputation of the restaurant, I would expect more precision). The hanger steak (ordered medium) was completely over cooked and was so chewy and felt more like a roast beef, the baguette was burnt beyond belief, and the chimichurri sauce was brown instead of green or red. Seriously disappointing food and for the price, it's an absolute travesty.
The waiter was kind enough to take the rotten lobster roll off our check, but overall the entrees were terrible. The hanger steak looked nothing like the other photos on Yelp and for being a seafood and steak house, they totally missed the mark. Because it was my birthday they gave me $15 off my next visit but honestly, I won't be back. If you come here, stick with the appetizers and drinks. The meals are way overpriced and anywhere between underwhelming and...
