This store has a very nice selection of items, and everything is always organized. I love the shopping experience. Unfortunately, their customer service is very lacking. I purchased clothes 3 days ago from them, and found out today the same clothes I bought are on sale. That is no one’s fault at all. But per Dick’s website it says, if you find a lower price after purchase: “No problem! You have 14 days from the date of purchase to take advantage of our price match program. For an in-store purchase, just bring your receipt and qualifying retailer's sales ad and a DICK'S Sporting Goods Teammate will review and verify the price match.” I speak with the manager and he is like, yeah we can price match but you have to bring all the clothes you bought back in so we can complete the match. I had already removed all the tags and put up the clothes I purchased, why would I have to do that? When I advised him that none of the clothes have tags, he insisted I still have to bring the clothes I purchased because it is their store policy. But their website doesn’t say I have to bring anything but a receipt to price match. To me, I’m like it’s $30 bucks on a purchase of $250, and I made another $200 purchase that same evening. Like why give such a hard time on $30? And you might say the same to me, it’s $30 bucks right but it’s about principle I guess. This whole scenario didn’t sit...

I went to return a jacket at Dicks Sporting Goods today that I purchased last weekend at Dicks Warehouse, because it was too small and couldn't be used to layer with other clothes. When I told the cashier it was a return she went and spoke to her supervisor for a couple of minutes and came back and told me I couldn't return it. When I asked if it's because I bought it from Dicks Warehouse she said no that's not the reason. When I asked why I couldn't return she just said "I'm sorry you can't return it" I asked again just for a reason why and she didn't have one. I think she knew I wasn't going to leave without a reason so she asked if I wanted to talk to her supervisor, which I confirmed that I did.
The supervisor came over and asked me when I bought it, what's wrong with it, why I didn't want it etc. Which I just found strange because the purchase information is on the recipt. Then asked if I wanted to exchange. I said no, again I just wanted a reason why I couldn't return. Then she just turned to the associate and told her to do the return.
The whole interaction was super sketch and I got the vibe they just wanted to deny my return for no reason and were hoping I wouldn't give any push back. I don't shop at Dicks often, but definitely won't be shopping at this location...
Read moreHere’s a trick that will save you a lot of time. There is a terminal on the left side of the shoe section with a sign stating “Find Your Fit.” Take a shoe you want from the display to that machine. Scan the shoe and enter your size and name. They will bring it out to you. It’s like the self order terminals at fast food restaurants. You can even look up and browse the shoes in stock. If you don’t use the terminal, you have to find some one. There was one person running around scanning in shoes and taking people’s names. Skip trying to find that person and go to the terminal. I just tried on the Hoka shoes to see if they fit before ordering them online somewhere else. I won’t spend money at Dick’s, because of their anti gun attitude and subsequent lack of hunting supplies. This is Texas. We have hunters, and hunting is a sport- so is shooting. I gave the employee who brought out the shoes $10, and I thanked them for their help. They didn’t have the color I wanted in 10.5 (wide) anyways. If you don’t shop online, they are one of the few places that carry Hoka. Great store. Clean, stylish, and well stocked. I felt it had a better atmosphere than Academy, and it felt more upscale. I could see plenty of checkouts, and the line was short and appeared to be...
