It was not worth the $150 I spent. I never leave reviews, but frankly, I am too disappointed not to. We came to celebrate my birthday. We’ve been to the one in the woodlands and it was a phenomenal experience from the food to the service! When we came to this one, I was severely disappointed and left feeling scammed. We walked in and were asked if we had ever been here before, and since we had never been to THIS location, I said no. I was assuming they were going to give us a rundown of how everything worked along with recommendations, but instead they took our drink order and didn’t come back for a while. Truthfully, I wasn’t even sure who our actual waiter was, but the gentleman taking our drink order was very sassy and had an attitude that left us feeling like an inconvenience. After our drink order was taken, I went to the “market table”. They had less options than the one in the woodlands, but I’m assuming that it’s because this is a smaller location. I took very small portions of food because I wanted to first taste what I knew I usually like. The rice was crunchy and dry, the potatoes from the potato salad were practically raw from how crunchy they were, and the olives tasted chemically. The only thing I did like was the dragonfruit and the cheese/prosciutto (which you don’t actually have to cook). I was appalled. This was not the same food I remembered. I was also too afraid to touch any of the salads because of how soggy it all looked. In the woodlands location I remembered being given a small plate just for meats on the side of our buffet plate. This time, I was told I had to ask for it and when I did no one came. It was a slow night with few customers. I was a little confused why the service was lagging when we had excellent service in the woodlands on a night that had a 3 hour wait. Whatever, I just got up myself to get another plate from the buffet area. I normally wouldn’t make a fuss about something like that, but when I’m paying $75 a person and I’m already experiencing bad service and poorly prepared food, I’m very annoyed. I went to give the market table a second chance when I saw that they had refilled some things I knew I’d like. Mind you, at this point we still had not received bread, bananas, or mashed potatoes to our table. Regardless, I was still incredibly disappointed by the food prepared at the market table. It’s not even worth the promotional price of $15 by itself. To add onto that, I’m not usually bothered by workers saying inappropriate things to one another in a joking manner because we all live different lives outside of work, but as I’m being continuously disappointed, I’m now more irritated and the tacky behavior was just the cherry on top. The aquarium was more of a luxurious dinning experience than whatever that was. We only decided to save room in our stomachs for prime cuts. Some things were absolutely delicious, but there were some that I actually had to spit out because again, it tasted “chemically”. The bananas- which I was excited to taste because they reminded me of Christmas- weren’t even warm. As a matter of fact, I’ve cooked them myself 3 times in the last 2 years and my worst attempt tasted better than whatever that was. The mashed potatoes were very runny the first time they got brought out. The second time they came out, it looked like someone actually prepared them beautifully, but by that time we were full. It’s going to take me a long time to get over the fact that instead of spending an egregious amount of $150, I could’ve just stayed home, cooked myself a thick sirloin for $20, made myself better mashed potatoes out of an instant box, cooked myself my Christmassy bananas with stuff I already have in my kitchen, and roasted myself some delightfully roasted asparagus all for the low, low price of probably $30. Don’t...
Read moreMy main complaint is how the manager handled the entire situation and her unprofessional behavior. I am usually not the type of person to complain unless it was an absolute horrible experience and this review is to inform the Owner of this location.
I ordered the Easter Celebration Experience dinner package for my family which is a very expensive meal. I placed an online pickup time for 7:30 PM CDT on the actual website, not a 3rd party app.
When I arrived to pick up the food, the hostess girl was confused and had to go in the back to see what happened with my order. She later told me they threw the food away because no one picked it up at 4pm when the ordered was placed. I then showed her my phone with the confirmation of a pickup time of 7:30pm with the order details. The manager came out and said this is a very expensive meal and seemed like she didn’t want to remake the order. That was very odd to me as yes I know its expensive, I paid for it and I arrived on time to pick up the food and you threw it away while trying to blame it on the customer. I showed her the confirmation on my phone with the pickup time and she did not seem to care. I was in total disbelief at this point as the manager is not acknowledging the mistake even with the proof. The order timestamp is NOT the same as the pickup time. With attitude, the manager finally agreed to remake the order but I had to wait at least 30mins. This is very irritating as my family is expecting Easter dinner and I have wait another 30mins. I asked the manager if she is going to compensate me in anyway and she said ill throw in some extra desserts. When I arrived home the order was still missing the vegetables, so we had zero vegetables for dinner and the chicken smelled and tasted like was left out, not very fresh at all. The beef was similar quality.
This manager is also losing revenue for this business because I saw two people walk in to dine and was told sorry by the manager, reservations only. That’s fine but there were at least half of all the tables empty and it was already late evening.
The manager could have handled my situation differently, acknowledging the mistake and apologizing and then making it right. None of that was done by this manager, it was the opposite. There is a professional way to talk to customers and I was greeted with an attitude, blame, and inconvenience when it wasn’t even my fault. I will not be giving my business to this location again and the owner needs to be aware of the behavior of...
Read moreWe frequent Fogo de Chão and other Brazilian steakhouses in the Houston area. We thought it was only right to celebrate a birthday there on Tuesday. We were two adults with 2 children with us. Things started out fine, the server was quick to greet our table. He asked us if we were celebrating anything, to which I stated we were celebrating a birthday. Shortly into our dinner, it seemed like the entire restaurant forgot about us. The server delivered one of our drinks from the bar, and the other one was forgotten I let him know that it was no big deal but request requested for him to bring it. There was about a 10 minute period of time where service was as usual, and the manager came to check on our table. We asked for another round of drinks, which never came. I worked in a restaurant for about eight years so I know that when it gets busy, it’s difficult. However, when you request a round of drinks from the manager, you would expect it to come. After waiting for at least 25 minutes I stopped the manager and requested to cancel the drinks if they have been ordered and he replied no it’s OK. I’ll bring them. He brought the drinks And stated he would take them off. Another server checked on our table and asked if we were OK, it seemed like he noticed we were getting bad service. We let him know that we are aware, waiting for people to come to our table with meat as our cards have been turned up green for the past 30 minutes with nobody visiting our table. The table to our left was also celebrating a birthday which was acknowledged to staff, as the on at ours was not. Ultimately, with two restless kids we are ready to leave. I flagged out the original server and asked for the check. The two drinks at the manager said he was going to takeoff, we’re not taken off. Eventually, while waiting to pay for over 10 minutes, the manager came To our table and realized that they hadn’t been taken off and took off the drinks. To which I commend him for. An additional 10 minutes later, the original server finally came and picked up our check.
The biggest problem that I see here is: We only saw our server, maybe three times throughout the entirety of our two hour stay. We were not planning on staying there for two hours. However, because of the slow service, we were not able to Have the pace of a dining experience that we were wanting. The service of food was slow Even the manager had forgotten about our table
For the price point if this restaurant, we may choose Chama Gaucha...
