Was here all weekend for a lacrosse tournament. Fields are artificial turf and are beautiful and well kept. There’s a paved walking path around the perimeter of each field. Fields are surrounded by fencing.
Restrooms did not seem to be maintained throughout the day so as the day wore on, and more people were using it, it was a mess - no toilet paper, dirty messy floors, a couple of toilets needing maintenance. Not pleasant at all. There’s only one restroom building and for our tournament, there was always a line at the women’s restroom.
Parking was horrendous. For any other regular event, there’s probably enough parking but for this tournament it filled up quickly by 8am and people were starting to park in the grass. The Park officials announced during the tournament that anyone parking on the grass will be towed. They did suggest other parking areas on a gravel path that were still pretty limited. If you’re there for a big event, just get there early...
Read moreI come to Elon Park about once a month with my friends to play soccer, and every time it’s an amazing experience. The fields are big, the turf is solid, and the area has plenty of space to run and play. Today the sky was beautiful, and I even ended up taking a couple of artsy pictures 😂.
What makes this park stand out is how complete it feels. It’s not just soccer here , you’ll see football and baseball practices, and sometimes even full tournaments with multiple teams. Right in front of the fields, people come to hang out and relax, and there’s also a really nice playground for kids, which makes it a great spot for families too.
I love this place because it truly has something for everyone sports, family activities, or just enjoying the outdoors. If you’re in Charlotte and looking for a park that brings people together, Elon Park is one...
Read moreI would have picked 5 stars because the place is great,, it has 4 regular size soccer fields. The only thing I dislike is that most of the time my son and I always get kicked out because of lacrosse training, we don't mind the soccer training because we know clubs need it especially for our kids but lacrosse? They should really find or built lacrosse fields somewhere else, we go to elon Park at least 4 times a week and somehow we always get kicked out. We understand lacrosse is also a sport and we respect that but we must find the time and space to make everyone happy, there is some room down next to the lower fields for a lacrosse field to be built, this is just my opinion I would not want to offend anyone, I just love training my kid at soccer so he can be off the Xbox for a couple hours and do something productive with his...
