Called in a delivery order and my wife went and picked it up. She paid at the store, when she got home the restaurant called and told me that they made her pay for the wrong order which was 2x as much as what our order was. They said they wouldnt refund our money unless we went back to the store. After going back to the store and handing them the order they gave us, they gave us our original order. I asked for a refund and they ran the credit card machine and told me not to worry about it and take my food. After i got home and ate our cold food I checked my bank statement. All they did was refund 1/2 the wrong order to make it come out to what our order would have paid for.
I understand wrong orders can be given and paid for. But making me drive back to the store to give a refund (when i know it can be done on the phone) and only to only refund 1/2 of the wrong order so it comes out to the payment of our order was just wrong. We got cold food, bad service and lies. Ill be calling my bank to dispute it since I dont think I can trust...
Read moreAsian One is a very good Chinese spot in south Charlotte at Ardrey Kell and Johnson Rd. They have most of the usual Chinese- American fare and some unique Chef specials that are worth visiting such as Grand Marnier Shrimp with Honey Walnuts. Noteworthy appetizers include Shrimp Rolls, Soups, Chicken Wing (very Crispy) and fried wontons. They have several types of rice but their Fried rice is noteworthy while the standard white rice is forgettable. Their Fried Dumplings and Scallion Pancakes were not as good as I hoped. The Lo Mein and Egg Foo Young are above average, but no Moo Shu anything (oh how I miss it!). For their spicy dishes you can adjust spice up and down but if you don't ask otherwise it is generally fairly mild. Fast Service, Family Owned, Local and great quality. Its often my first choice...
Read moreOrdered 2 dinner specials (main + rice/noodle & egg roll), and they had it ready in 15 minutes. Fried rice and egg rolls were both tasty, but the main dishes and lo mein were lackluster. Sesame chicken looked and tasted like they cooked it with sweet and sour sauce and then topped it with sesame seeds - way too sweet. The Lo Mein noodles were thicker than normal and were extremely bland. The shredded beef with spicy sauce lacked even the smallest hint of "spicy", and had very little sauce (and the sauce it had was thin & quickly absorbed by the fried rice in the takeout container). It was basically a shredded beef and shredded vegetable dish with little sauce and flavor. Wouldn't order from again, will just stick to Amazing Wok or...
