I recently visited yesterday to pick up a birthday cake for myself, and while I’ve had good experiences here before, this visit was disappointing. Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by one of the employees, but another staff member with glasses had a noticeably bad attitude.

I initially spoke with the friendly employee about the cakes, and once I made my decision, I let her know. However, the other employee suddenly chimed in with an unnecessary attitude, questioning whether I wanted the whole cake or just a slice—even though I was already being helped. It was confusing and made the interaction uncomfortable.

When it was time to pay, the unfriendly employee was the one who rang me up. I asked her to apply my military discount, as I’ve always received it at this café before. She immediately dismissed it, claiming they don’t offer one. Since I knew otherwise, she had to check with the manager, who confirmed the discount was valid. Instead of simply applying it, she then sarcastically asked for my military ID in a way that insinuated I was lying, which I found extremely disrespectful.

I remained polite and provided my ID, but this entire experience left a bad taste in my mouth. As a loyal customer, I expect to be treated with basic courtesy, not skepticism and attitude. I hope management takes this into account because unwelcoming service like this can easily drive...

I used to love coming here, the food & coffee is amazing. But today I came in and ordered a cold brew latte, and I’ve got this drink many times before at the other locations too, and when they handed it to me it looked like cold brew with the tiniest splash of milk. I saw that the person who made it was training because he was asking a lot of questions, so I asked if it was supposed to be that color, because I had ordered it so many times before and it was always milky, as a latte should be. The girl behind the counter explained that’s what it was, and told me I was confused and probably meant to order a regular latte. Even though I explained I’ve been ordering that from Tous and it never looked like that before. I’m an ex barista, I know the difference between cold brew and espresso and a latte versus just a splash of milk, but she made me feel too embarrassed to keep explaining so I just asked if I could have a regular latte in its place. I love coming to this place. All of their pastries are always up to standard and amazing! My favorite savory pastry is the kimchi croquette, and my favorite sweet is the chocolate croissant or the mango croissant! Today I tried the mango croissant and the matcha tiramisu latte with oat milk! The mango croissant was great, I loved that the croissant was fully filled with the mango cream. I’ve had their original matcha latte with oat milk and it was alright. I definitely liked the tiramisu matcha better even though it is on the sweeter side. Wish they offered soy milk!! Overall...
