Vortex Comics — Attraction in West Allis

This is the only place I have ever given a 5 star rating. The owner is very friendly and pretty much knows every single thing he has in stock. He is constantly replenishing his backstock and usually has what I want. If there's something special you're looking for he'll look out for you. He also knows his comics and loves to talk about them so have a chat and a laugh. There usually isn't anybody in the store so it's nice to be able to take your time and look though his massive backstock even if it's just too see. His prices are also incredibly fair. He has the craziest backstock I've never seen so many boxes filled with $1 comics. And even his more regular priced backstock is still just incredibly priced. I have spent a lot of my time and money at Vortex, because it is simply the best comic shop in the area. The owner, JR, has a breadth of knowledge of all things comic related, and knows immediately whether or not he has any particular sought after issue. Where other comic shops don't have back issues readily available for perusal, Vortex has its entire inventory on the floor, which is how I buy comics (I rarely, if ever, know what I'm looking for when I walk into a comic store).

Was in the area, saw Vortex Comics was nearby and decided to give it a visit and was glad I did! Inside and outside of the store was spacious, well kept, mostly clean and easy to move around in! The selection of comics and comic related things were varied, both modern and retro and expansive! Service was great and even gave me a little discount on the item I bought SO, can't complain there! Good experience leads me to say give Vortex Comics a visit, it's a nice little local comic book store!
