As someone who has worked in customer service and retail for many years, my experience with Shekinah the other day was one of the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life. I walked in to trade in some old games to buy a new one and before explaining what she was doing she was telling me I was going to get free money by signing up for something and making my purchase even cheaper. I explained to her that I didn’t want to sign up for something and she assured me that I just had to sign up and cancel the next time I came in. I told her that I don’t come in that often, I just want the money for the pre owned games, and to buy the new one. She looked genuinely so puzzled and confused by what I just told her. She asked why and continued to tell me to just do it. My partner at the store didn’t even understand what she was trying to get us to sign up for. She then started to get upset and flustered that I wouldn’t sign up for whatever she was trying to get us to do. My partner asked for an explanation and she, very rudely, said “your partner doesn’t want free money.” Neither of us knew what to say. She then starts huffing and puffing and goes quiet. She looks at us and begs us to do what she’s trying to sign up for, and she says it’ll help her keep her job. For one last time, I explained to her I don’t want to sign up and put money down on something just to come back in and cancel it. She then goes mute and grabs the game I asked for originally and rings me out. She didn’t say a word the rest of the transaction and rings me out. I thanked her at the end and walked out. I genuinely couldn’t believe how pushy she was, it was like talking to a cars salesman, and wouldn’t let us say no. I also can’t believe the shift in attitude afterwards and how upset she got when we wouldn’t do what she wanted us to. Super unprofessional, and honestly a very upsetting experience. I would avoid that specific gamestop just to not have to deal with her again. I understand this may not be a full time career for everyone and maybe the pay isn’t worth it to act nice to customers, but I wanted to share how disappointed I was in that whole experience on Friday. She tried to make my partner and I seem dumb for not signing up and begged us to sign up so she could keep her job. I will not be returning to any gamestop if that’s how their employees act-...
Read moreI have been going to this GameStop and other locations for awhile now, ever since I got my ps4. I would just like to say that every time I have walked into the store I’ve always been greeted with a “Hey! Anything I can help you with today?” Or at least a “Hello” if they were busy. I do all my game shopping here and at the other locations because I know that they will be friendly and helpful. I love doing business with them because of this. Contrary to other reviews, (which i also think are exaggerated and selfish and so unfair to the people trying their best to help everyone) I have actually seen first hand someone at this location, have to deal with a man who wanted his pro account changed so his buddy couldn’t use it, even though he just needed to tell his friend to stop using it. So when told that the employee at the counter couldn’t do anything about it, which was true, he started cussing out the employee and stormed out. The employee was super chill and nice to the man and I’m so sad that we have people giving GameStop bad reviews because of rude employees and long lines. Sure the line might be long, usually because the person at the counter asked about a game, or needs help getting a pro membership...Anyway, I just had to get on and write a review that gives these people the credit they deserve. Keep it...
Read more[Update] Went in with the police report, now I have to ask the officer to go to the store and ask about the games. Like the offices don't have anything else better to do. What a joke. ---'So my spouse and I went in the store looking for Nintendo and Nintendo 64 games because someone stole my whole collection. I know what is written on them, I had my ID and everything. He acted as if he could care less and said "Oh well all those things will be online not in the store and I couldn't tell you anything about it anyway without a report". Really??? So if they were traded in that store your pretty much saying you don't care of it's stolen or not you're taking it?! Ridiculous, no manners or sympathy for my situation. Not sure if it was my skin color or what but it was not appreciated. I'll NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT STORE AGAIN AND IF I DO FIND OUT YOU HAVE MY STOLEN PROPERTY, ILL BE SURE TO PAY YOU A VISIT WITH A POLICE REPORT WITH THE POLICE. !!!! Oh and to the nice customer to told me check pawn shops Thank You. They were not there but that was a...
