It had been a while since visiting a chain restaurant. So we decided to go to a Longhorn Steakhouse. First off, the atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. The host asked us if the booth chosen would be sufficient for our party of five. It was a good, larger booth. Nice touch.
For appetizers we chose White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms and Wild West Shrimp. Great choices. Both were plentiful and easily served our party. The shrimp, especially, was the best of its kind I've ever had. Very lightly battered and browned and flavorful crust, tender shrimp that wasn't fishy tasting. And the cheeses and sauces each of these dishes came with were delicious and perfect. I could have made a meal of just these two dishes. I highly recommend the shrimp.
We chose steaks all around for our entrees. I had the Fire-Grilled T-Bone. Good and tender, and cooked to my specifications. My only complaint, and I find this with most chains, is that the steaks are always too salty. I wish restaurants would realize that if they begin with a good cut of meat, and have a creative and intuitive chef, there is no need to pour on the salt. The steak would stand on its own. I ordered seasoned fries with the steak, and they were a bit over-salted as well. Note: Seasoned does not mean salt overload...
My son ordered the Outlaw Ribeye. His was also well-cooked, as were they all, but he also mentioned it was over salted.
Our waiter was very kind, personable, and friendly, and also very efficient.
So, overall, we enjoyed the meal and will most likely come back when the...
Read moreWe ordered a group order while at work. Did curbside pickup. I arrived at 12 noon for my scheduled pick up food ready time. I checked in. Waited 30 minutes for order to come out. The lady that brought out our food was horrible. She argued that I hadn’t been waiting 30 minutes after she told me that my food just came up and the card my coworker used to pay declined. Fine I paid with my card because a team of people ordered and was all waiting hungry. She did not include a single fork salad dressing butter and part of our order was missing on a 80$ ticket. Now back at work eating dry lettuce with my fingers(just kidding) I found a fork. But no dressing I call the supposed manager Stephanie and let her know about my experience with her person who brought us our cold incomplete order about how rude and basically incompetent of putting an order together is. The manager assured me she would address and send something to my email to compensate and I would hear from someone from the company. None of this was done. A week later no call no email so here I am because I am a frequent customer and we all order lunch together often from there and now we will not be ordering lunch from here because of this issue. If you also use the pick up service check your order while waitress is in front of you. Looks like quality is going down hill or is this supposed to be the new normal. Chick-fil-A servers are children basically and know how to act better . Fast food getting compared to a more sit down restaurant that’s sad. Get...
Read moreOkay so just going to longhorn to get a 20 dollar steak. I know its not top shelf steak but we know that going in. We asked for a table for 3. They sat us at a table for 6 even though there were 2 visible tables for for that just needed cleared. Okay so we sat down in the awkward location where the table was caty corned and left little room for servers or patrons to get by. Needless to say everyone who walked by hit my chair. The table was so rickety. You just touched it and it shook like and earthquake. All i could think of was i have to cut steak on this shakey table. Buy the time the server came to take our order the other tables were filled. No use asking to move. We toughed it out. Salad came mine had rosemary in it that was so hard like it had been fried? it was inedible.strange. .. bread arrived. steaks came.. not so great.. over seasoned and tough. I know what your thinking 20 dollar steak you get what you pay for but its 20 bucks they are not giving them away. My strip cooked medium was chewy and tough. It had a few grains of rice on it.. really? i didnt order rice. Bad piece of meat. My husband's rib eye cooked medium rare was a tiny piece no way it was the 12oz listed on the menu and it was over cooked for his liking. Anyway this location gets an F for the table and seating.. they get a D for the food. Server was nice shes the reason for the 2 stars. I will not be back to this location when craving a steak. There is another longhorns a few miles away or a Texas road house...
